Build Command Software stuck trying to refuel a full ship | and then stuck again

Post by Wou »

I have encountered a problem while trying tu use Build software Mk3 to have a complex (of 90 stations) made in a claimed sector. It's basically all on the pic:

After a few trips and placing of some stations my TL has reached the target sector with 3 factories onboard, but instead of deploying them decided it's time to refuel first. And now the poor fighter that was assigned to it travels back and forth between the TL and nearest SPP with cargobay full of ecells both ways because there's no space left on the TL to place them. Meanwhile the TL sits still, for hours now.
I have lowered the "resupply quantity (jumps)" to an amount that's already is on board, didn't help. Then I tried to take some of the cells and allow the resupply ship to reach the new target - no dice.
Also tried to take the stations it has on board with another TL so the old resupply goal can be met, but looks like you can't transfer stations with a transporter device.

Am I boned here? Doesn't look like the Build Command Software has an option to resume a half-build complex if I interrupt the command in progress to, say, tell my TL to dock at the HQ and drop the stations there?

The Build Complex command does have a resume function. If you stop the command then start it again, one of the options in the menu would be to resume the previous command. This will then check the cargo bay and build the stations in the cargo bay first then carry on with the rest.

If you drop the station in the HQ, is should then go and pick it up from there to deploy again

Huh, it does. Thanks!

This happened to me as well, you can safely stop the build command, refuel the ship yourself (after making some cargo space available if needed), and resume the command.
Your TL should recognise after a while that it has enough fuel and the stations it intends to build, so it will jump away and carry on working.

well, I have to bring up my thread again as I've hit another snag with the same complex being built.
So what happens is:
-my transporter has finally placed all 91 factories
-goes to my sector with a complex hub and 21 complex extension kits
-deploys the hub, as far as I can tell doesn't connect anything to it
-goes back to the nearest shipyard with 21 extensions kits in hold
-buys 8 more
-then sits still in the shipyard with 29 extension kits and a current order of "Idle. Not enough cargo space".

If I interrupt the TL and then order to resume construction of the complex it goes into "Preparing Complex Plan". I've left the game running with 10x SETA for 10 minutes and it was still preparing so I don't think it's gonna happen.
Any way to bring my construction back on track?

edit: oh yeah, I did try to place all the extensions manually, twice. Both times there were a few stations that would just not connect
edit again: took me 5 tries to place the hub manually in a way that I'm able to connect all the stations later, but it worked
