Space wares expiry? - answered

Post by Sorkvild »

I know that wares explode over time, but what about found upgrades such as engine tunings? Can I leave them in sector for later or for arrival of more tuning worthy ship?

And there will not be an AI pilot swooping in and taking the precious tunings? I am pretty sure that was a thing in previous X3 titles...

I found an item (XL cargo class) that I wasn't able to pick up in my Adv. Discoverer, so left it behind. I forgot about it and when I was sweeping the galaxy in an Athena TS I picked it up several days later. I'm pretty sure LFL items are excluded from all generic AI.

May I ask what the item was? I've never seen a XL ware from the LFL before.

Not the one you asked, but I found an XL item which was a blueprint for a unique thing. Either a weapon or a ship, don't remember which one was labeled as XL cargo.

Oh so the item was XL, not the actual blueprint? Because I've picked up all blueprints with my advanced kestral

hmm. It was a weapon. But now I'm not 100% sure if it did bounce off my Adv. Disco or not. I really thought it did. It turned out to be a blueprint as well. I think I've been confusing things. I did come back for it days later however. It's possible I never even tried due to it saying XL and it being 600k+ worth I may have not wanted risking it breaking.

So far I have found 18 tuning crates in which I have collected 10. I saw somewhere a player has found 20 and that was few days ago. Also, Cycrow said in another thread that they respawn time to time but the rate is comparatively less than other generic discoveries.
X fanatic. More of an X3 fanatic.
What about X4? Nah, I prefer a space simulator rather than a walking simulator.
