Turret command configuration - answered

Post by zamiel »

Is turret command configuration disabled in X3FL?
It was under gameplay and you were able to set 4 priority list for turrets (and enable laser switching since X3AP). It's the single most powerful feature if you want to use capital ships. It's moved somewhere else, or it is disabled? If the latter, why?

Ah, got it, thank you, I didn't notice it between the commands.

Same happened to me :)

Just out of curiosity, what are your custom configurations?
I usually add 'missile defense' at the top of 'protect ship' which I use for non-combat ships.

Alpha as an anti-fighter:
missile defense
attack fighters
protect ship (anti fighter drone)
attack what ship is attacking (for attack factory orders)
all ships attack cockpit target (to concentrate fire when controlling a fleet)

Beta as anti-capital:
attack M7+
attack M6
attack what ship is attaching
all ships attack cockpit target

Usually i go with light weapons on the turrets and put them to:
missle defense
Protect ship
Attack my target / attack what ship attacks

I dont want to to set them to attack all targets since that might make enemies attack me which were attacking something else (like a station in the defense mission: Sure m5 and m4s go attack that station while i focus on the important target without being distracted by you) or not attacking yet (traders of a hostile faction, especially if flying through sectors they are not hostile to.)
