I wish autotraders had a bit more self-preservation instinct
Just lost four in quick succession because they decided it would be good to trade in Faulty Logic I (should not have bought that HOP price subscription). Frankly I wished they'd stay out of any sector with anything more dangerous than an m5. The 2.5 sector blacklisting can't get here soon enough.

The 2.5 sector blacklists do not work though, been on the Linux beta since launch and mine still decided to pass through an invaded Hativ system

What? yes they do though the only time they ignore your orders is when you tell them to do so. Or they have other orders conflicting against that same order. Infact I just tested global orders by ordering my traders to work exclusively in argon sectors its worked just fine. Also tell me more about this invasion if it was a full on invasion to a sector already controlled by argon and HAT. Also set sectors owned by enemies or sectors containing dangerous regions. Also when get a new trading vessel make sure to mark pirate harassment to flee instead of fight that's usually the number 1 killer of auto trade ships. It also might be helpful to select in turret management hold fire that way they aren't stuck fighting a xenon ship or pirate ship.

It seems to me that there are ships which ignore the sector blacklist, though these seem to be subordinates to stations. In my experience, the autotraders seem to do a good enough job avoiding blacklisted sector (in 2.5).nickolaiproblem wrote: ↑Sun, 5. Re: I wish autotraders had a bit more self-preservation instinct
It is possible that the movement blacklist might have bugs.
The other two appear to be working perfectly for me. I do not see any of my ships trying to trade or mine in Xenon space, auto traders and free traders included. I also do not see any of my traders trying to trade with either HAT or SCA which both have been blacklisted due to being hangouts for pirates. However what I have not tested is the movement restriction blacklist, since in my playthrough there is no use case for it (all Xenon are well pushed back into their space, am allied with everyone else).
Be aware that Minotaur Raiders are classed as military ships. Some players like to use them as station subordinate traders as they are pretty much immune to lone pirates. As such they will not be effected by default blacklists for civilian ships, only default blacklists for military ships.

Last time when someone reported a problem, j.harshaw - if you excuse when I am talking for you even though you are present
- noticed that the order to fly through or into this sector was given BEFORE the blacklist entry was set.
The blacklist does not alter already planned flights. Also, wings ignore a blacklisted sector if their commander is located in one.

2.5B3 and black lost is working fine.
Be careful that there are 3 different black list.
It must be setup correctly. It’s very functional and flexible. An example is, I want to up my rep with ARG to 30. I can creat a black lost that my traders will use only argon stations and argon sectors.
