OK, I have tried a mod. But it isn't working. I'm not sure if it is the correct mod.

Still can't buy any ships. Is this the correct mod? Also the description says I
have to set up a: "scriptlogfiles command line argument as usual, and the report will be under mej_station_shortage_report.txt"
I don't know what the above is. Youtube says all I have to do is create an extensions folder
in my X4 file. Which I did. And then drop in the unzipped mod. Which I did. Also, in game
the extension is listed as "on". But still no ships.

Re: I've Decided not to buy this game (aka: Cannot buy ships)
I haven't updated the mod in a long time, and I wouldn't be surprised if some breaking change or another has affected it. The scriptlogfiles thing is completely optional, and it's just there if you want to see text reports of what shipyards/resources the mod is acting on.SpocksBrain wrote: ↑Wed, 27. Please discuss mods in the S&M forum and not in the vanilla gameplay forum. Thanks.
PS: I thought it was 'your friend who owns the game' who would be trying the mod, rather than you!

temp
If in an existing game, generally with economy mods,it will need to adjust, meaning it may take 5-10 hours to get the money mod to be effective. However, I don't use mods from Nexus, don't trust the site itself after past events, so I cannot attest to this specific mod.
