Yesterday I kept coming across deserted stations. Watching Ants stream atm and he’s finding the same thing.
Have they been removed to boost performance or something?

Re: Where has everyone gone?
Sadly there seems to be a bit of rule tweaking needed for the simulation. Not everyone seems to be effected but it seems that sadly some people's economy has pretty much halted and shutdown. This means traffic in and out of stations have stopped. The best way to fix this is make a war but not sure if you can make 2 factions go to war in the game.
Xenon seem to be sort of wiped out not growing / expanding on my world.

What I mean is there are no crew on stations. Just the manager in their office. No one else.Kane Hart wrote: ↑Wed, 5. I see this on the Argon wharf, but all my other stations are fine. Weird.

Re: Where has everyone gone?
Quite often, stations are quite empty compared to the very early-game.
The Argon Equipment Dock I started in was this bustling hub of activity initially - and very hard on my system. However, it really was most atmospheric. Now, there's minimal traffic. I notice that the mass Traffic - i.e. not real ships - have gone, they can no longer be seen flying through the docking port. Also, regular traffic is much reduced, a fraction of what it once was. Other places are a little busier.
I assumed this was a combination of tweaks by the devs to improve performance and natural settling of the simulation over time. Economy-wise, I'm not really sure what's going on. I have satellites almost everywhere now, yet the only decently rewarding trade goods are Microchips, Spaceweed and Spacefuel - the latter two a bit risky of course. There are swathes are wares that have ZERO demand, i.e. they're greyed out at stations that use them. So, perhaps it's become a little...unbalanced. The universe did feel a little more alive early-game.
Scoob.

Re: Where has everyone gone?
Yea I visited a station in another system and basically no one`s there.
I suppose it`s not all that unusual. I have travelled around in real life (as many have) and have come across train stations which are sometimes empty except just for me standing there.
I guess that`s the case here.

1. Please do more on NPC civilian/uniform variety, and bio customisations, Devs.
2. Stations need sirens/warnings when enemy is close in numbers or Station in danger of destruction (in Sandbox).
Yes, for immersion. Thankyou ahead of time. (Edit: This is actually happening!!!)

Re: Where has everyone gone?
I've definitely noticed this. It was in Argon Prime, spookily enough, which did not feel fitting.
My Argon Prime doesn't have much going on in space either, so maybe it's tied to the economy? I've seen stations with lots of NPCs running around too, and I really like the lively feeling that comes through.
