Was wondering if anyone was planning to stream or upload to youtube any vids of x4?

And on a similar note, is Egosoft allowing any youtubers to have an early copy to upload or stream?

That I know of:

Stream the game so everyone can skip my first 24 hours of mistakes..

If my PC can handle it, I'll try my hand at streaming it on Friday and over the weekend. As a long time X player I should be able to give my thoughts on it as I play.
I've never streamed before but its something I'd like to try for this game. I'll link my Twitch channel in my signature in case anyone gets curious.

To my knowledge, no early copies have gone out to reviewers or "public influencers" as streamers are often called.

There are a number of pretty big channels that are likely to play it, but I'm hesitant to name any since I can't recall off the top of my head which. One I'm absolutely sure of is TheXPGamers / CaptainShack on YouTube and Twitch. Apparently he's been playing Rebirth on Twitch in anticipation of X4's release and his YouTube channel has a lot of X3 content.

I'm not sure of their official policy on streaming, but I've never heard of them going after anyone with DMCA strikes, etc. ala Nintendo, so I'd assume they're relatively fine with it. Someone from Egosoft will probably chime in with a more reliable answer than me.

I will be on Friday and over the weekend. Not sure when exactly the game goes live and I won't be home until ~5PM GMT so I'll likely begin some time after that.

I'm pretty sure they've said in the past they're perfectly fine with all aspects of it.

Our policy on gameplay videos and streaming remains the same as it has with previous games. In general people are allowed to stream and create gameplay video. Just don't be silly and start taking soundtrack, assets and the like, and putting them up uncredited.

I recommend Willfe. He usually makes childish jokes, but it's not overdone. He also doesn't shout. I only watch a few Youtubers, and avoid the more popular ones for that reason.

The only streaming you will get from me will be tears from my eyes straining after I played it solid for a few days without any sleep then it gets harder and I will cave in and sleep provided it works which I sure it will. I am already going to bed far to early every night to get the next couple of days out the way, can you believe that and it's not like I'm a spring chicken these days either...

I know (well I think) Lothari is going to stream X4 ,,if anyone knows the details of X4 then Lothari does... Otherwise maybe ObsidianAnt,, although not a great fan of streamers a bit like reading a book and the author continually stops and has a chat with the readers... ruins the flow.

CohhCarnge is a twitch streamer that has said he will be playing X4 on launch day he's also a fan of the series so he'll be bringing that perspective to. He usually starts streaming at 0800 Eastern Standard time.

If Cohh is going to be streaming it that will be a great one to watch, he's a very competent gamer and he focuses on the game and game objectives without getting too carried into the chat/viewers, and he usually does quite long streams of games he's getting into as well.

On question to the content creators here that are doing x4. Could you please tell me your settings in OBS or whatever you use. I have ran into an epic issue with footage stuttering like crazy near stations, this has kinda buggered up the first few hours in game :'(
