AP 3.0 No-Steam exe download denial - need to register game

AP 3.0 no-Steam exe download denial occurs repeatedly, using Chrome or MS IE9. Account verified; logged into account; cookies enabled (in both browsers). I'm at a loss for solution(s).

There is a bit of a clue in the description on the downloads page for the no-Steam exe:

"The NoSteam executable is available only to users who have either X3: Terran Conflict or X3: Albion Prelude registered in their forum profile."

Register your game here and you should be OK (and get a tick mark under your profile when posting). Moving to Universe forum.

In order to do that, you need a CD-Key. That's available from your Steam library, there's a link on the right hand side that will display it for you.

Since the OP has a registered X3 game now, I guess this is all resolved.
