So I was playing last night, all was good. This afternoon I played some planetside 2, battles died down and I switch to x3TC. 1 problem, when I hit play, i get "error opening video, check your graphic settings"
So I do, and all the optings for everything is blank. I try reset to default, nothing. I have tried verifying game cache through steam, said 1 file was replaced, tried opening again but no change.
Nothing on the egosoft forums say anything about this that i could find.
Anyone else get this issue?

Have you changed (reinstalled, updated etc.) your graphics driver recently? It sounds, as if your game doesn't recognize your graphics card anymore. If you have a laptop with an integrated and a dedicated graphics card, make sure that the latter is being used with X3TC.

Resolved
So the updating of the drivers, that was the issue. I did the option to revert to older version and it has been fixed. I never saw any updates on my computer that notified me of this change.
I have a Intel HD Graphics 4000 and NVIDIA GeForce GT 640M. The Intel needed to be reverted to an older version. Thanks for the help.

OK, I am glad it is resolved for you. That said, X3TC exe should be using the Nvidia card and driver and not the Intel graphics chipset and driver. Maybe it is not so much an actual problem with the new Intel driver as any driver update cancelling your previous application-graphics device affinity settings. Something along the lines of this thread perhaps.
