Finally mining is somewhat fixed

Miner ships can now use lasers to mine ore without holding it's hand... Good job EGO... Anyway there is another problem miners drones don't return back after it is done mining and ship just leave them in that sector.... Not sure how ship works when assign to managers ????

Not only miner drones but collector drones in general. The following threats are dealing with the same issue with drones stuck in space:

I can tell that my capital ship doesn't undestand when she lost a drones.

Es.

My scaldis had 5 drones. A hostile fighters shot down one of them, but the capital details always display: drones in cargo = 5.

So if you lost all the drones, you can't buy new ones and the ship can''t do nothing.

True, seems it applies to every collector and mining ship. AI included.
Although trading ships realise when they lose cargolifter drones in use.

For example:
If you buy wares and shoot the loaded cargolifter drone the trade is successfull and capship confirms trade even though it didn't get its wares (meaning you can successfully steal cargo from buying AI ships

). But if you shoot the empty cargolifter drone the capship doesn't send out another one and trade is stuck.
Haven't tested it with selling yet.
