Hello,
I've noticed that, often, drones like miner drones or cargo transport drones doesn't get back to the ships bay for unknown reasons, (maybe after a join squad leave squad command while it is doing it s duty?) and this makes impossible for the mining ship or trading ship to take further actions successfully until the values of drones in space have been reset to 0 by editing the savegame which is a BIG a problem. Needless to say this is a gamebreaker for a lot of ppl and should be fixed asap.
This could affect AI ships too according to some reports

Ok just for those who need to know how to fix it : Let's say my mining ship have 51 drones and 11 are "lost in space"
1. In game look in ship details how many drones you have in total and how many are used.
2. go to your save game C:\Users\"USERNAME"\Documents\Egosoft\X Rebirth\XXXXXXXX\save
3. In a xml editor like pspad search for the total number of drones don't forget the brackets ex : "51"
Ultimately you should stumble on something like this

<item macro="units_size_xs_wardrone_macro" amount="10"/>
<item macro="units_size_xs_transp_empty_macro" amount="23"/>

Edit the 11 into 0 and now this is it.

I think:
you need be sure that none of them trading in moment you saved game...
you can't do it for ship is being trading...
I do it for my ships and miners, but only after I abort any trade.
(now there is button for it, but it could be done same way with editing savegame,
but that again will not work for ai, because ship needs to be readded to group, or to superior officer)

It actually does affect AI ships as well. I was following a collector ship which left some of its drones stuck in space ("in use") but jumped to another sector to sell its freight. But there it didn't sell but it still moved through space like it does during collecting. Also its command still said "collect ressources in *old sector*" instead of "Trading with *station*"juju1111 wrote:Hello,

Yes, same here now I realize the whole universe is stuck. I did a reset of all used drones in my savegame by commenting the lines, in game used drones where set to 0 but AI ships are still stuck.Xpert wrote:

Time to take a break with this game I guess, a pity.
