I set out to get the War Missions achievement, Making a Difference or what it's called. Ha, as if. Anyway, I accepted 4 missions to kill some deserter, all from war sectors and claiming to be crucial to the war effort. I finished them all successfully. Then I did a war mission that involved patrolling the sector and destroyed an enemy M7 in it. The mission ended successful.
Now my statistic says: War Missions accepted: 5
War Missions completed: 1
WTF? Do I need to do 4 patrol missions or what gives?
War Missions accounting fails

There are quite a few previous threads on this topic. There may be some useful advice in this thread and its link. I think one of the issues is that a war mission only counts towards the Achievement if it is both started and ended in a war sector. So if you kill a war mission target outside a war sector then it may not count.

That is unfortunate
That may be, because I usually have to reload war kill missions until they point outside the war sectors because otherwise the target is dead before I even get there.
Hmm that complicates things considerably. Damn it.
Thanks for the reply anyway.
