X3 TC/AP Not Launching - Fixed by disabling Nvidia FXAA.

AP: Steam 3.0 English

The games do not launch from either the Steam list or the executables in the game folder. Unfortunately I cannot provide a dxdiag log because it crashes every time I try to run it.

System Specs

OS: Windows 8 64-bit

CPU: Intel Core i7-3630QM 2.40 GHz

RAM: 16 GB

Video Card: Dual, Intel HD Graphics 4000 and Nvidia GeForce 675M

if DXDiag isn't running then there is something seriously wrong with your pc. Have you tried to reinstall directX or your graphics drivers?

If you cant run DirectX then you have little chance of being able to run the game

Also make sure your system is running X3 on the Nvidia card and not trying to use the onboard Intel graphics chipset. Have you verified the Steam gamefile caches for both games?

Took me quite a while but I figured it out. I have to have FXAA disabled in the Nvidia control panel. Odd that such a simple thing would mess things up so badly, but such is life.
