I don't get why AP have headtracking support while TC doesn't have it yet? AP uses the same engine as TC. Actually we all know that AP isn't even a full standalone as it still requires TC as a base. So what is the reason that they can't just add TrackIR supprot to TC as well?
The sole reason why I am only playing AP instead of TC is because of TrackIR, which is only playable because of the community user created cockpit mods.
AP have trackir but not in TC?

Well, I believe functional enhancements such as tracking support and such wouldn't be an unreasonable thing to ask. The main reason for getting AP is the new content such as the Stock Exchange, new ships, new plots, etc.
I don't use tracking myself, but I would think it'd be kinda silly if AP had numpad support, for instance, but not TC. It's a way of controlling the game, not really added content.

I want a sandwhich... no, nevermind. Well, I mean, you know... maybe... nah... okay yes.

I understand. All i am saying is I want to enjoy TC as well but since years of using TrackIR, It seems that I can't play any type of simulation game that has a FPS view yet no trackir function. Tough luck I guess.Cycrow wrote:because AP is an expansion which adds new features on TC.
if everything from AP was added to TC, then what would be the point of releasing AP at all ?

many game exppansions add new features and improvements as well as content. Very few, if any have backported those to the previous gamesDog G6 wrote:Well, I believe functional enhancements such as tracking support and such wouldn't be an unreasonable thing to ask. remember that it still costs money to develop these features as well as to backport.
The more features that you backport, the less that are uniquie to the expansion and the less likly people will buy it
