Okay, so this is the deal.
I've played AP when it came out and there was a nasty bug that made your game lag incredibly bad unless you used a cheat to "clean" your missions out.
Thing is, it seems like it also cleared out my argon mission line and it doesn't seem to progress. I always thought it was supposed to be like this and you were just supposed to trade or something, no missions apart from the first little bit.
I've been playing for 88 hours on this save, is there any way to like reset the storyline or something? I'd hate to have to start over.
I tried looking for somebody who has the same problem everywhere but I couldn't find it. Could someone try to help out please?

Well without knowing what you broke and how when using the cheat, that is rather difficult to say. I will move you over to the Universe forum where other X3AP players may be able to give you tips for relocating the plot line in vanilla. You would have to tell them exactly where you are in the Argon plot (ie what bit of it you last completed) to give them a fighting chance of helping.
If no joy there after a while, then look in the S&M forum for tips on how to restart the X3AP plot using MD commands. That should be no great issue for you since you are already modified to have used the cheat scripts.

Thank you. The last thing that I remember doing for the main plot would be that I got in place and the commander started informing me on the current situation with the Terrans which would be pretty early into the quest line if I'm not mistaken. I don't remember doing anything beyond that.Alan Phipps wrote:Well without knowing what you broke and how when using the cheat, that is rather difficult to say. If somebody could put me into the right direction with using those commands, that'd be great too. I don't really mind how I'm going to get this back on track, as long as I do. I just don't want to auto-complete any of them or anything. I'm doing this purely for the experience, not for the rewards.

You could try ap plot reset mod if you are completely stuck. I think it will mark your game as modified.

Okay, I just tried that but I got the same problems as the guys who first posted there. The script doesn't seem to be working.burger1 wrote:You could try ap plot reset mod if you are completely stuck. I think it will mark your game as modified.

Any other suggestion about how I could do this?

Yes, you will need to post your issue and questions in that linked S&M thread because we cannot help you further here with a 3rd party mod/fix. Hopefully Ketraar will get it working soon if there is still a problem with it - but I would have expected more recent posts there if there still had been.

The few people who reported trouble with AP Plots Reset did not install it correctly. Follow the instructions carefully. If that does not work, then that is the correct thread in which to post.Ryangr0 wrote:AP Plots Reset
