First of all, excuse the quality of my english, I'm french.
I would like to share with you some of my passions: X3 games and model making. I mix both in a Split Caiman model. It's made of 2 mm thin plastic card (styrene) and ping pong balls for the basic shape and 0.5 mm plastic card for outer plate of the hull. I've also add some tiny model parts bought in model shop such as armours (tank), ships and so on. The whole thing is 50 cm long and light up with LED and optic fiber.
Of course it's an not exact reproduction but I could import the 3D model in Sketchup and get measures. Then I would like to thank all the people who make the X univers live and help me to build this model with their software and of course this forum for the help.
All the details were added not to match the model in the game but just because they look cool
