for some reason my stock market is odd
I am playing the Argon Peace Keeper

Nyana's hideout (open) begining or at least first time I visited. Yet I own no stations for this Argon stock market.

All Teladi stock markets work as normal.

problem is with the split & Boron stock markets

My Trade Ranking is "Master Economist" (boron isn't unlocked)
My Fighting Ranking is "Fighter Chief" yet split isn't unlocking
My split rank is "Family Protector"
My Boron Rank is "Noble Peer"

the stock markets have the split unlocking by fighting ranking and boron by trade ranking not sure why they are locked still. I have visited the stations with ships with trade extention and docked as usual.

Boron stock markets I have visited so far
Kingdoms end
lucky planet?

Split Markets
Family Pride

Argon
Light of Heart (locked)
Nyana's Hideout (open)

teladi Seizewell, ptni headquarters, grand exchange (all working normally)

See this thread and this one.

No general solutions but it seems to work itself out eventually depending upon whether you target and dock before or after checking the SE, whether any stations you need to build nearby are actually producing, etc.

I managed to get all the stock exchanges to open here are the steps that worked for me I am not sure which fixed it.

what I know definately does not work

going to the system map selecting the stock market station then Auto-pilot docking. For some reason this doesn't trigger the unlock.

Now Physically clicking on the station (in your hud) and opening up comunication asking for docking permission. doing this through the map window will not work. What I am not sure of is it the physically clicking on the station on the hud that triggers the unlock or opening up comunication by physically clicking on the station. But somewhere when you do these steps will unlock all the stations I am not 100% sure you need to land for the unlock to happen. Just clicking on the station to open up the menu.

every stock exchange that I did this unlocked for me. Maybe the Egosoft can use this to track down the code piece to fix it but at least these steps have worked for me.

Pirate Stock Exchanges won't unlock (Except Yaki) [AP]

Post by WingC3 »

Hi all, I've been buddy buddy with the pirates now for a while and I can't unlock their stock exchange with the requirements listed. (This worked just fine with the Yaki) I'm a nostalgic argon start. Once the yaki were friendly, I simply brought the amount of space fuel requested and received a message asking if I wanted to unlock
This does not happen on the pirate exchange in Gaian Star. I can't say for sure what my pirate rank is, but the Brigantine flying around in the system and every other ship in the sector are all friendly, so it has to be somewhat decent.
Any advice would be appreciated.

Once you meet the requirements you have to target and dock at the Stock Exchange. There are similar threads with workarounds (such as this one) so have a look and try what other players have come up with. Come back here if no joy after that.

I have been trying this for pirate stock exchange in Gaian star. Not working. I manually click on the station itself with the mouse, ask for permission to land and land. No message appears asking me to deliver the slaves I'm carrying like it did when I unlocked the Yaki exchange. I think there is a bug in the way the pirate rep is done. Not sure.

I guess your Pirate rep may not be as good as you think. Blue ship = at least neutral and not necessarily friends.

There is a possible way of checking your Pirate & Yaki rep by temporarily opening the Script Editor, enabling 'show additional info' and then targetting a Pirate (or Yaki as req) ship or asset and looking at its information screen. Do not save at all during this process. When you have all the info you need just load a previous save to return to vanilla. Be warned! - I take no responsibility for any issues with Steam or ending up permanently modified while attempting this procedure though.

Pardon my ignorance but how does one open the script editor? I don't mind the modified tag, Imp's cockpit mod causes that, but what are risks of steam issues?

To open the SE see this FAQ. You may have effectively already done this in installing your mod and the SE may already be available to you.

I don't know of any Steam risks in being modified other than for DiD or or achievements, but you might upset some of your mods etc if you later do a gamefiles cache verify. I was really pointing out that since I do not know everything about risks with Steam games when changing things, all such gamefile and system adjustments are entirely at user risk.
