Hey, does anyone have a fix for the spread out HUD in 3 monitor mode?
The game looks great but I can't really play it with the minimap on the far right and other info on the far left.
I didn't have this issue in X2 as I would normally set the side monitors to view something else.

I tried Reunion, TC and Prelude, they all handle Eyefinity the same way.
All I want is the HUD to be centred on the centre screen. At the moment the radar is on the far right and the menus and ship info on the far left. This means I can't see everything I need to in one glance, I need to turn my head from side to side.

In vanilla X3 the only set up is to spread the normal view across the 3 monitors to give a cockpit effect using the side screens as side window displays. The in-game sub-monitors would appear on the side screens and you cannot direct tables of info to particular screens. This is related.
If you are looking for a modified display then you need to ask in the S&M forum such as with this.

While that sounds cool it is not what I am asking about.Alan Phipps wrote:In vanilla X3 the only set up is to spread the normal view across the 3 monitors to give a cockpit effect using the side screens as side window displays. Page 10 of the Nvidia surround guide explains better than I can what should be happening:

Basically in a 3 screen landscape setup the HUD/UI of the game should be placed on the centre monitor for easy viewing.
In X3 the user interface is spanned across all three monitors so information you need quickly in combat is on the edges of the monitors and very far apart.
