New story?

So I haven't written much in a while and something just clicked today that seemed like a super brilliant idea for an X universe style story.

Basically the concept is based around some sort of Goner style organisation but they believe in the crashed remains of the very real Voyager 1 or 2 which hold the location to find the way back to earth. I was thinking of adding some sort of conspiracy to the plot that are trying to stop them, while the protagonist is a mercenary pilot finding out about his past who's father was a pirate who discovered the remains of Voyager by accident and was promptly killed by said conspiracy.

Any thoughts?

The idea sounds interesting. Maybe you should put those thoughts together in the form of an intro and spark some interest from the other readers and then take it from there. Just a piece of advice.
