Bugged ships Trade command Software Mk1
When I purchase a ship, the Trade Command Software does not work properly.
It shows as 0 stock - yet I am unable to transfer or buy it.
Any ideas?

Just done a bit more research.
It turns out when I acquire a new ship - the trade command software is borked.

Only to be the pedantic sod, it's not just stations but any ships that can be set as a home base (TL, M1, M2, TM etc).eladan wrote:Both of those require the TS to be homebased to one of your stations. BlkKnight, the fact that you have options under the trade menu means it's working fine. Once Mk3 is installed you can then use the "Start Sector Trader" command, Universe Traders will need a bit of experience (and a patch TBH) before they can get to work.

Thanks for the replys, but let me explain how I know it's broken.
I have a TS class ship with all the software you mention - and it quite happily trades.
If I now go and purchase or acquire a new TS class ship AND TRANSFER ALL SOFTWARE FROM THE EXISTING TS or BUY EXACTLY THE SAME NEW SOFTWARE for the new ship - I get the same problem.
Please look at the image.
Now go and freight exchange with your TS Class ship.
You will have 1/1 in the freight selector bit highlighted.
You will have 1/1 in the bit below where you can select the quantity.
- I have 0/1 (0 being the TS Ship).
I'm lothed to start again because something has become corrupt.
I have changed the image to make it simpler for you. . .

It appears from the code that the ST/UT requirements are actually looser in X3TC than they were in X3R.
ST requirements:
- Trade Command Software Mk 3
- Ship class: LittleShip (not M5)
- Not playership
UT requirements:
- Trade Command Software Mk 3
- Ship type: TS, TP, M3
- Not playership
- Pilot level 8
When you say sector trader doesn't work, do you mean the option doesn't appear, is greyed out, produces an error, or what?
Do you have any scripts or mods installed?
