can you become so feared by a race that you appear on the BBS?

I'm about as low as you can get with the Split, because I've wiped out ten of there sectors using the same Osprey without taking any breaks, and it would be cool to see my name on the BBS under the headline:

'Split Everywhere Live in Fear'!!

Unless you don't open the text files using an editor (Ex. Doubleshadow) and add new BBS news to the already existing ones...

Yes, but you can update the BBS after any game session: autopraising yourself using your own network...
