Can you run more than 1 MOD ? in x3 ?

Post by Dorfski »

Im just getting back into X3 and I see there are alot of different MOD's out there.
My question is, is there a MOD manager out there that will let you run more than 1 mod at a time?
I have 2 that I really like so far...1) Roguey's X3 - Extreme v2.00 (http://roguey.roxr.com/)

2) and a little Cockpit MOD called ..ITS_ARG_CP_MOD_V1c ( i think I got it from in this forum)

Is there any suggestions out there to some real good MODS that have improved Cockpit graphics and like in Rogueys's extreme Mod a auto armour repair module ( must be some little droids repairing while flying ;)
together ?...maybe ?

Thks folks ,

you can only select 1 mod at a time, but there are ways to run more than 1 mod as long as they dont contain the same files.

you could either merge them into a single mod, or run one as a fake patch.

as for mods with improved cockpits, there isn't any more afaik.

also theres plenty of scripts that do alot, these are not like mods and can run multiple scripts at a time, there are also various ones to repair the ships hull.

as its a question for X3, i have moved it to the correct forum

If you look into the X3 Directory, you will find .cat and .dat files all have numbers such as 01, 02, 03... etc.

you just rename the mod's .cat and .dat into the next incremental number (so if the last number in the directory is 06.dat and 06.cat, you would rename the cockpit mod 07.dat and 07.cat) and put them in the main directory (i.e not in the mods folder)

EDIT: forgot to mention that this is the "false patch" method

Be warned though, some mods don't like each other. You may end up with reinstalling X3 from scratch.

Yeah, I got one after installing MOD Manager and merge XTM and XFP, in the last... they got fighting each other and my computer almost breaks for its as they both launched nuclear and BIG bugs around my monitor and begin scratching anything around my desktop... bah, just kidding...

Sure to keep your game safe, otherwise some BIG BUGS will come to you...
Let the big boys do battle...

Hope this'll help...

Know how to best the X-Universe by one shot?
Push the little 'REBOOT' button on your PC, that should do it...
Try it... it works for me... believe it... it works...
