yeah that was my first proper animated project using a image editor like PS and GIMP
although my PS trial ran out
, but the gimp can support .psd files so i was ok

If you could do a Argon, Split, Paranid and Teladi ones like what you did with the Barracuda, that'll be sweet.

Either that or JPG, though PNG is pixel-prefect, JPG compresses images and are more ideal for photos, though sometimes you can't see the difference.

Hi stevio
I have Gimp and have been trying to make some siggy's but am having some issue using the text scripts and combineing the with another picture (can use normal text ok) but cant add one like alien glow to a picture any help would be appreciated.

@jaeshaw> its quite simple really but as a novice to GIMP myself i do understand
»» first off use the
"Script-fu" tab then
"Logo" then
"Alien Glow" to create your logo/text
»» then on the layers screen
"right click" ->
"Flatten image"
(if you haven't got the layers screen up go to "Dialogues" -> "Layers")
»» then use the
"Select Contiguous Regions tool"
»» select the
Background of the image ->
"right click" ->
"Select" ->
"Invert" ->
"Edit" ->
"copy"
»» then go to the image you want the Text/logo and then Paste it
that should sort you out
don't forget there are some good tutorials at
THE GIMP's website
