hi i am new to the froum only getting the net recently i was wondering will there ever be any multiplayer capacity for the x universe or is there that capacity already.

i own x2 the threat and should be getting x3 on christmas.

want to get the first 2 games but don't know how to get them.

also what do people find the most cost effective way of making money stations or automated transports.

I think asking in the right forum may have helped.

Anyway - there is no multiplayer, and there probably won't be for quite some time. XOU is the ultimate goal, apparently. A space MMO. Guessed ETA of somewhere between 2010 and 2020. You can speed this up by donating several hundred thousand Pounds to Egosoft.

Cost effective would be universal traders, factories can make some good profit at higher tiers, but UT's are easy to set up and run.

Well I usually do the first 2 missions to get the mercury trade with that in silicon and make enough to trade it for a demeter with full mobile mining capability.
ie Drilling laser, mineral scanner, ore collector.
of course u will need to kill a few pirates first in paronid space to get your rep up with them to trade.
Also see u said your new to the net well if you have a look in your profile and register you copy of X2 you can download the patches and extras pack off here dose inprove you game no end.

my mate who has the game had registered the game and downloaded the artifical life patch the bonus patch the 1.4 patch the 1.2 patch and the no cd patch (his cd got snapped by younger brother)

and gave them to me on his mem stick.


Are theree more patches than these?
