The script will be compatible and, so long as it just contains a map and is used as a mod (not a false patch) I can't see any issues with the custom maps either.

As I understand it, anyway...

Awww man, I have to fight Tenlar in Round 1. Somehow I got the feeling that TS was going to be my opponent.

Well on the subject of the other matchups the ones I look foward to seeing are,

Olterin vs. stemardue (want to see how the Katana fleet does)
imperium3 vs. kalu (poor imperium3, he's going against 359 Iggy's)
EmperorJon vs. Alex Vanderbilt (this one should be good)

Well, IMO my fighters and Panther should hopefully annihilate the Iggy's unless the slowdown is too bad. Those things are seriously deficient in shielding and firepower.

Interesting match-ups!

And I wouldn't count yourself out Deadbeat... the match will really depend (I think) on who goes down first, your Tenjins or my Falcons. My big boys are rather flak-less, so it's entirely up to my Falcons to find the correct targets and get them before they get burned and perforated. The loss of my Falcons would mean your Tenjins get to have fun with my Phoenixes, which would slowly melt them barring a great deal of lucky gauss cannon shots.

Fun matches that I can see:

-Phinixa vs. perkint. I'm interested in how well the Cluster Flak cannons turn out. That Titan won't go down easy...

-Killjaeden vs. Merdocharr, because I'm interested in the viability of the Zephyrus as a powerful en masse gunship.

-imperium3 vs. Kalu, just because it's going to be a farking sea of lasers.

-X2-Eliah vs. Stealth Hunter should be interesting. We'll see what does more damage - the colossus and cerberus' flak cannons, or their fighter escorts.

-Olterin vs. stemardue. The corvette phalanx is something not investigated often enough, and I want to know just how effective it will be at killing a big daddy like the Phoenix. I'm betting the biggest threat to the Katanas will be Olterin's fighter escorts.

-Sticks vs. Algoran, because double Osakas is something I want to see in action. Not against me.

-ashkrowe vs. Master of the Blade; frigate based fleet against frigate based fleet. Should be colorful if nothing else.

Just noticed TJ's question about the music in Geosynchronous Stadium, it's the track originally used for the Earth sector in X3R Xtended.

Are the combats set up like a "tree"? That is, if I win my match do I have to play the winner of EJ vs Alex Vanderbilt, or is it randomised again?

Xtended for R? Odd, I've never played R beyond the first hour of it. Musta heard it on youtube or someplace else.

Hmm, 22 Katanas, eh? Good thing they're not armed with M/AM launchers - that would have... hurt... a lot... Those Poltergeists on the other hand could get rather nasty

Well, from my (limited) experience with using multiple corvettes in a wing, this match is definitely going to be a very interesting one to watch, regardless of the outcome. Not that I'm not looking forward to the other matches, it's just... I wonder how far my rag-tag fleet of mostly Teladi shipssss will get (seriously, if there was a decent enough Teladi M4, I would have used it

- same goes for TM).

In other news: "Men, get to your battle stations. We're having 22 Katanas for lunch. And I don't mean the sword variety."

Well, I'd bet on the Fire Vanguard. Katanas are nice and I like the EMPC. But in AI hands those are only water pistols - even in these numbers. 2000 Quatloos on Fire Vanguard I say.
