Hey,

at first I have to say that I'm from Germany, so my English is maybe not the most perfect one :P

So, I have a problem with the merc script, because of the XTM. I just got the Aran a few days ago and... erm, the solar plant command doesn't work if the assassin/mercenary script is installed. That's my problem. Of course I want to use both of them, but if this doesn't work, I would prefer to keep this solar plant working. I really like those scripts but sometimes you need to prioritize.

But I'm not able to delet them from my X3. Deleting the Assassinsscript worked (I hope so xD), just start the uninstall script and then delete it from the pluginmanager. But the Mercenaries Script hasn't got an uninstall script. Just deleting it from the pluginmanager makes my save crashing after reloading it.

Or is there maybe any way to keep both things working? The solar plant AND the merc/assassins scripts?

Im also having trouble with the "attack station" part of this script.

I got past the select fleet size but their all in kingdom end,23kk of tourists at the moment :D

I asked them to attack a chip plant in rolks drift cus ive over cooked it abit with my own chip complex and i need to loose some of the compitition.

The only way i can do it now is to wait for a defend a chip plant somewhere level 4 + and hope the system defence doesnt stop them.

I cant start another attack as the option has gone from my stations,i imagine this is cus the other mercs are all in kingdom end and i cant do anything until they have either died or destroyed the station.

Its not a big problem but im asking incase theres a quick fix as theyve been in kingdom end for 4 game days

Been using this for a while but can anyone tell me if the missions effect your race rankings. eg help te split defen against Boron or Yaki. I'm trying to up my levels with each race and thought this script may help. Fun script anyway and works fine.

I have a slightly odd problem:

the mercinary docks are building ships. LOTS of ships, in fact there are several hundred mercinary ships in the universe now and a total shortage of all others (Pirates sort of overran my universe and wiped most of it out before I got a good enough ship to defend) and I wonder if perhaps trade ships arent respawning because there are already enough ships in the universe.

What part of the script builds ships? could it be something in the loop of that is stuck?

Hi all

Not sure if Cycrow is still offering support to his X3R scripts, but since this is the place for posting problems, and I hav'nt got a clue what's happening................

I to am having bother with the "attack station" part of this script. I can get to the message where you pick how many merc's you wish to hire for the job. A few minutes after this though, the game completely freezes up. No CTD, just frozen. Not even any mouse movement. I've tried leaving it for about 5 / 10 minutes to see if it would release itself, but not joy. :(

Any help?

Edit: A possible side effect of this script; I have over 100 plus fighters loitering in Kingdom End doing nothing.

Ehi Cycrow, I've a little problem with your script... I was asked to deliver 5 M5 ships to the Paranid Trading Dock in Cardinal Domains.
So I sent them those ships, but nothing happens.
Also, since the station has only 5 slots for docking, if all ships are landed I can't dock with my ship.

What do I do? :?

when u send the ships, they should be removed when they dock allowing you to send more, however, this isn't instance so u might have to wait for it to trigger

just make sure ur using the correct ship class and its the correct station and it should work

I've trid 3 times, even sending them in a close sector, then coming back and docking at the station. I've checked the ships 3 times, and they're the right ones, same for the station.

My guess is that since I've delivered the ships very quickly, the Guild has not claimed them yet and I just have to wait the trigger to do its job.
In the mean time do the ships have to be docked at the designated station? Because in the message I received, is not clearly said to dock, just that "We'll be waiting at the Paranid Trading Dock"... :?:

That mission failed, and according to the Guild I've never delivered them the ships I was supposed to.

But I have two other things to report:
1) if you are in sector X, and via BBS you accept a mission which will take place in sector X, you still have to leave your current sector and return, otherwise mission won't start.
2) even more important for me, the script doesn't distinguish between Pirates and Yaki. Twice I was told to fight against Pirates but I found myself dealing with Yakies.
It may sound pointless, but since ingame they ARE two different races, I would expect them to be distinguished. In my previous campaign, I had slowly gained +1000 rep with Yaki, but after 8 days of game! Here with a single mission I was at -600... :shock:

Worst thing ever: savegame crash - campaign no longer available.
Reason: unknown. :evil:

a "Yaki Xperimental Shuttle" - it bailed, but when I went to capture it, the ship had disappeared. I tried loading savegame, which dated back to 5 mins before, but game crashes.

The Yaki-mission does not get started when the station is in the same sector as the player.
One has to fly OOS and back to get it triggered, which is definitely not professional enough.

I looked in the scripts, but still have no idea where to put the additional sector/ship query.
So I could use some help on this "issue".

Also the VIP-escort-mission doesn´t appear at the BBS at all, but this one I could fix by myself.
It´s just a typo, a missing "i" in 'plugin.mercguild.guild', line 16 in plugin.merc.mission.escort.xml.

Anyway, the Mercenaries Guild is a great work (although I changed quite a few parameters,
to fit my personal taste). The Border Control is a true masterpiece, despite of the bug with
not adding notoriety because of the player and the race being swapped.
