UTs carrying illegal goods causing trouble

I'm sorry if this has been answered elsewhere - I looked around, but couldn't find anything.

The problem is that my UTs are carrying illegal goods (which is not new) and they are being scanned and attacked by sector patrols (which seems to be new). This is causing me all sorts of new enemies, particularly when the UT destroys the sector patrol ship (caimans can be tougher than discos).

I installed the 3.1.06 bonus back and XTM 0.7a over the weekend, so I don't know which, if either, is responsible for these vigilant sector patrols. The questions are:

1) Can I stop my UTs from carrying illegal goods?
2) How can I repair reputation when I now have an Argon Weapon Platform as enemy to me? I don't think comming and apologizing works like it does to normal ships...

It's actually the 2.0 patch that allowed sector patrols to scan ships other than your own, but if your ships are caught with illegal goods, they should generally drop the freight and get the heck out of Dodge--I've not heard of them getting destroyed.

Ahhh. Thanks for that.

I've had it happen a couple of times since starting XTM and never before (that I know of), so that's why I thought it may have been something to do with the mod.

Docking Denied

Docking Denied why?

When I try to dock my ship to argon/teladi shipyard I get that message even when I have enough points towards those races.

If I instruct any of my ship to dock at that station, the shipyard doesn't appear as selection. :?

I can buy from them but can't I dock my ships?

I've just reinstalled the mod followed by its scripts and I get the same issue.

im trying to install the XTM .7a mod i installed the XTM mod scripts no
problem with the X - Plugin Manager but i cant install the MXM .7a mod
because the installer only works with spk files and the mod is a dat file
also it comes in a rar compression. all i know is the installer only works
with the xtm mod scripts can you help me plz .

I'm afraid we changed the way the Mod is installed since the manual was made. There is an updated manual in the works, but until then...

When you open the rar file there is a folder inside it. In this folder there are 2 files (10.dat and 10.cat) and one soundtrack folder. Open your x3 reunion folder and look at the cat/dat files listed there. If you are not running any other mods as false patches, the highest number cat/dat set should be 09. If that is so, just copy the cat/dat set from the rar file into your x3 reunion folder.

If you have cat/dat sets that are higher than 09 then you have something added as a false patch (Another mod most likely). You have 2 options. You can remove the other mod (Recommended as other mods are not likely to be compatible) and then install the cat/dat set as above, or you can extract the cat/dat set in the rar file to a temp folder on your desktop and rename them so that they are 1 number higher than the last cat/dat set in your x3 reunion folder (In other words if your last cat/dat set in the x3 folder is 14, rename the files to 15) and then move them to your x3 reunion folder.

Copy the soundtrack folder to your x3 reunion folder.

Install the XTM scripts with Cycrow's installer.

Xtended and X3 2.0 script compbability

I just checked out Cycrow's collection of scripts and I must say I'm more than impressed. I was thinking of installing all of his scripts. But then I realized that they are probably outdated and may not even be compatible with 2.0 and of course. I am playing with Xtended 0.7 installed. Anyone who knows if Cycrow's scripts are compatible with Xtended 0.7 and X3 2.002?

Here's the compatibility list.

If they're not in the list, check if the scripts use the same command slots as the XTM - if not, they are compatible ;)

Xtended .7 gameplay discussion (*hopefully spoilers*)

I have questions for the players of the great Xtended .7 mod, and I see no posts regarding it, only technical support questions. So here it is.

1.) Can Pirate M3+ ships (blastclaw, elite, eclipse) be capped? Has anyone ever done it?

2.) is it possible to get a Xenon P? Xenon Q? Where are the M0s?

3.) What new bbs missions have you found?

4.) What is your favorite new ship?

This has probably been answered a hundred times before, but is the XTM mod compatible with my existing savegames? I have only 1 save in a non-plot game and I don't want to start again.

No.

If you don't want to loose your "empire", try the X3/X3-Converter by SymTec Ltd. - should be somewhere in the Scripts/Mods download library.

I don't get it. Why does it say XTM mod BETA? I thought it was a finished version not a test version?

XTM 0.7 = Alpha, Beta, Gamma,... :wink:

1.0 will be the finished version (I think)

Yep. Xtended has always been a Public Beta Version of the mod, that's why there have been a number of major changes between each release.

on to the next and possibly final part of the mission - to collect some
plutonium. instructions were vague at best. am assuming that i will have
to roam around the sector until i get some sort of signal????????
