the both files stick together but you have to open cat to edit them

PSCO1 do you have plans to make a dedicated cp for TM class ships that aren't based on a TS body, like the Zephyrus? Or even better, race specific TS cp.

Hi Folks I'm having an issue with the mod where the cap cockpits are coming up as the oldschool ones, my patch list is as follows:
14 = CMOD4.10
15 = cockpit mod
16 = Cad Ship pack
17 = trails
18 = Immersive Enviroments
19 = 100k draw distance
does anyone have an idea where the problem may lie?
basically I'm a USC man and I want to use the dark cockpit with the red graphics that on the first page...if those files are still in the mod may I ask where, I'm no strager to the editor lol...

if you are using a TShips where isn't set the right cockpits you can get problems with the mod.
I don't know all the mods you are using...but I expect that 16 and/or 17 can cause your "problem".
you can take a look in these .cat files with doubleshadows editor. if there are new TShips you can edit the one in the highest .cat.
the value you have to adjust is the Cockpit scene under Model of the ships to the ones of the cockpit mod

OK i have a rather old computer, I want to install this mod, but how does it Affect performance?
I would think that with a cockpit taking up a 1/3rd of the screen as a mostly static image; Performance would increase... however things are not always as they appear.
My game is vanilla 3.1; with the bonus pack installed..... except im trying to get the station cleaner/complex fix mod (performance reasons), and if i find one.... a mod that gets rid of space dust/nebula (again performance reasons).
Oh and nothing save breaking in it right?
P.S. The mod here looks amazing, And whomever worked on it must have been working there ass off ! So kudos to you from one giant space sim fan!

oh im more then thinking about a upgrade, bu im just not in a position to, however theres always next yearrs tax return 
im on a Pheonm Tri core 2.1 ghz 4 g dual channel ram and a gtx 260. win 7 64.
too bad i dont have one of those crazy overclocked single core computers. remember how fast they used to get those up to.

Love the cockpits, but just moved into an Paranid Agammemnon, and the cockpit for that kind of looks like something for a transport or trader. Is there any way of changing the cockpit for the Aggie to something more like an M1 or M2? How would I do that?
EDIT: Fixed it. Used doubleshadow's x editor, changed the paranid M7 SPECIAL tships file to use the M1 cockpit, instead of that argon M6 one. Just didn't work with such a beautiful ship....

I could see that working slightly, for example if you create a few ships with custom cockpits that are docked to at the station and then you could switch ships, the ships themselves would have no other use apart from being a cockpit...

To be perfect, would love to walk into a space station. I do not mind the size of HD or Processing - current machines support large maps and public x3 series is selected. Somehow there is a game that does this: Mass Effect. Of course, it would have to carry other types of maps / objects, but I see big problems in doing this.

Many thanks for this mod!
I've had X3 Gold for a long time now, but could just never get into the game, it just seemed........like it lacked character for lack of a better term atm. But with this mod, I'm immersed in the largest, most engaging universe you could imagine! Cockpits are manditory IMHO to have a feel, a real sense that you are there in world doing, fighting, trading in a real ship. So, anyway, thanks again.
