i get no music at mainscreen either but i do get the new background with the teladi shipyard and ships. i normally have my music at 0% ingame cuz i leave it on seta walst watchin tv or sumfin. do you want me to check if i get music in all sectors aswell. ( i have a clean install and just xtc)

if you can name a few sectors with no music ill test it later.
I used to list PC parts here, but "the best" will suffice!

hmmm... Pandora's gate has no music, collins, howards, armstrong, conrad, aldrin. Those are the sectors I've been to before and noticed no music at all for them. Once I reach argon space I'll report on New Horizon and any other argon sectors.

I mentioned earlier the Paranid music is perfect in the sector below Bean. The track is called "Tribal Chant". Sounds very paranid.

Is it possible that the file related to the music in game didn't install correctly, and doesn't install at all with the new music files?

btw the ship computer does say the sector names when entering them.

dude chill out, i know the next release is gonna be atleast 6 months and i also know why im not doing this my self, i dont have the skills, its as simple as that.

hmmmm... this is a mod after all isn't it? shouldn't one of the 3 cat/dat files that were installed when this mod was installed in the X3TC directory have a universe map file? I've looked at all 3 cat/dat files and didn't find the universe map file in there at all. I know the universe map file is where you usually set up the music for the sectors. I know this after looking at the tutorials list for modding universe maps and music tracks

Edit: also... I can't seem to log on the X universe site... I signed up an account there yesterday and it seems no one has approved it yet... nor can I sign on the account

Yes... but the team worked several months for the current balancing and what freaked me out a bit was "small request"... which is quite off - I suspect the team will never add another balancing - if it's done then surely by someone else.


[EDIT: ] the skills necessary for that are not overly high - it's just that you have to balance 700 ships in all manners and this is boring, also you have to have a good overview, what you plan to do.
X3-Editor2 is all you need for manipulating single ships or all.

Hey people, what do you use as Terran Yokohama main weapon (AI controlled)? G-EMPC or M/AML ?

M/AML has better dammage, but quite short range (4 km), while G-EMPC is M6 weapon but has 6 km range.

M/AML is cheaper but require ammo.

I intend to use my M7 to combat multiple M6 for now and propably soon, as my fight rank increase, some M7.

if I would have to guess... you should use the non ammo based version of a weapon on AI controlled ships... if anything OOS combat would chew through ammo like a kid in a candy store... but... this is XTC so I don't know if that's true anymore or not.

Observations - 'Impossible' rated missions just sprang up as I hit manufacturer paying triple what I had previously earned.

No new sectors have appeared for 30 game hours (last sector Nvidium Rush IV). (total visited sectors is at 107 - but some I may have sent a scout craft without visiting myself)

Civilian ships and taxis can often be seen even though I have switched them off in AL plugin

I have not seen a single 'for sale' ship flying about for a good few game hours.

I am having trememdous fun! :D

Just a bit of a question... do upgrades replenish themselves on stations that sell them... I'd very much like to buy upgrades and extensions but I can't due to there being basically none at equipment docks and military stations. How often do stations get replenished of these items and yes... I have disabled the ware consumer AL option but not soon enough it seems all stations of said type have little or no upgrades and extensions anymore.

Maybe that AL option should be... automatically by default be turned off.

This will be work for the next patch - the "Ware Consumption"-AL has removed the stock and as far I can see, they don't become restocked automatically - thus the next patch has to fix the AL as well as the warestocks.

great... so that means... I have a broken game... wonderful... there goes me playing the game... practically impossible to advance through the game without extensions and we don't know when this fix patch will happen

is it possible to use the cheat script to temporary fix this issue? cycrow's cheat script?

hey if you don't like it go back to the 1.0 i almost went to the 1.1 but thankfully the patch couldn't be read and i come back today and find this out i am glad for it the 1.0 works fine for the most part and i will download the next patch that is operational with all the bug fixes

by the way great work on the xtc mod again thanks for the time you took to make it

one problem I deleted the older patch as soon as the new one came around. I did find a work around to the issue... I manually extracted cycrows cheat pack and it worked... I just hope no unforeseen issues pop up later

Here is a fix for the upgrades-bug:

copy the script to your scripts-folder and execute it with "r" in the ScriptEditor.

All upgrade-stocks will be reset to 1 and the WareConsumption-AL be disabled.

Of course I am no teammember, thus this is far from being official ;)
