No worries.. as a side note i also did Strong arms mission 1 the same way at rank assassin and I went from privileged associate of Rhonkar to Family Friend... i did however get caught up fighting the escorts... and ended up killing several m6's and M3's before i could get out. If you are really stressing about rep loss if you reload a few times then sometimes they spawn with minimal escorts which makes things a whole lot easier (reloading is not really necessary unless you end up at war though)

Hmmm. So, I do have a question ... how do I check my corporate rank/reputation?

I unpacked a PlayerStats.pck file and looked at that, but it seemed to only have race relations in it (caveat -- I haven't looked at a PlayerStats.pck file since I started flying corporate missions).

I tried using Carlo's "Display Ranks" script, but all I get from that are a series of "null" strings concatenated together. I should mention that I didn't use any kind of installer -- I copied Carlo's lib.*, plugin.* and setup.* files into the game's "scripts" folder, along with "lib.chem.strings-2.97.spk" and I copied Carlo's "8412-L044.xml" into the game's "t" folder. I couldn't figure out any way to run the main script aside from highlighting it in the script browser and pressing <r>. It then asked for a station or ship input, which I selected via the map, pressed enter, and recieved the "null" message.

Ideas? :?

Your Corporate ranking will be listed underneath the main race rankings in the player status display once you've successfully completed the first mission for any given Corporation.

Give me a few minutes and I'll have a screenie uploaded.

Edit: All my Corporations are anywhere between Rank 5 and Rank 10, currently.

Very helpful guide. Thank you. I would like to add that I now have 7 Ventis docked at OTAS HQ waiting for me. Unfortunately I just found out my HCP was destroyed 4 days ago by a Q so I have to make up for lost time to get back to where I am. I'll let you know if it gets up to 8.

Ahhhh, thank you! I am embarrassed to admit that I didn't think of the easy solution.

Two of the Corps offer the HCP as the final reward. And yes you can get 8 Venti's. Currently I have been awarded 14 first reward ships (Rank 4) with two of the Corporations.

Not sure if anybody ells has said this:

I can already buy the OTAS M7M and I'm not that far up their ranks...as in they gave me the solano about 3 missions ago...

Or is the Sirokos a different M7M?

Aquilo = missiles only M7M

Sirokos = Boarding only M7M

Aquilo is available as soon as your Argon rep is high enough.
Sirokos was only available to me when I reached Otas rank 10 (Otas Legend)

Funny that i've owned a sirokos for 5 or so game days and I've never actually seen it

I like the way the Aquilo looks but have no idea what the sirokos looks like... this is my first start where i have bothered with the corporations... google it maybe?

The Sirokos and the Aquilo look virtually identical but have different stats.

Two ships at one time, or did you do two missions and got two ships awarded?

I just did the one mission that got me to the first reward point, got the message to return and lo and behold two identical ships were waiting for me!

Not sure how I can verify this with a screenie as I recycle my saves (don't know if I still have a save with both ships at the dock) but I do still own both ships.

The id's on the 2 ships are sequential, don't know if this proves anything but here they are anyway:-

I believe you.. I had a similar experience while testing the multiple ship exploit for DS... I was expecting 5 ships... and loaded a save just before i docked at the HQ 4 times in a row.... I got the expected amount 3 times... but once... for some reason... it only gave me 3 ships. The whole reward thing is still a little bugged.

Agreed. Swear I had 4 Solano's and 5 Vulture Proto's awarded. But when I checked back sometime later to move the ships, 1 of each had vanished from each of the HQ's. I even checked the Statistic's and it said I had 3 and 4, respectively.

Did a check of the reward ships that I already own and they are sequential in number.

My Enhanced Jaguar's were:
YM5DF-34
YM5DF-35
YM5DF-36
YM5DF-37

Didn't write down the numbers of the others since most were a single or double.

Maybe Ego countered the exploit by slowly making your duplicate ships disappear

I never checked the IDs of my Nova prototypes and I sold all but one... Just reached Terracorp Legend though and at 2 ships so far... going to see if I can manage to have more ships at Terracorp HQ than docking clamps again... I'll get a screenie if I do.

This was taken just recently during testing and is a first encounter for me.

First dibs on docking (thanks to a Docking Computer), but the AI ship didn't get the memo and tried to take the same spot.

first of all Thankyou for the guide, excellant reading and very helpful,

regarding Corp "quick Taxi" missions,

just recieved one from Otas, they have instructed me to dock at an Argon Discoverer to pick up the "fare" :o

guessing that the Tractor beam is not an option,
anybody have a workround so as to prevent the abort mission knee-jerk ?

Edit.. Have just attempted and completed the mission in a Kestral with TB and CLS installed, seems you dont have to dock afterall and that the TB does indeed "transport" the fare over to your ship
