what's odd is the randomness- I've never dropped below "creature" rank, and this is all OOS-
there is literally no reason for the secdef to object to my presence.
it's weird.
on another note, I'd like to get people's opinions on where they set up shop-
I'm understandably leery of setting up expensive complexes anywhere the main races can get at them, given a playstyle roughly similar to Lord Drake...
ime some ships go hostile on events, such as something ramming my m2 at the gate or plot events such as choosing a side in Split Loyalties - and not all can be calmed down even with a good rank. they despawn eventually though.

One small question. I started playing with Split hard start and did several data transfer missions. As a reward I got tree locations. One was in Tortuga (undiscovered), and other two led me to M5s in Ronkar's Hindsight and Pandora's Gate. First went without a problem (I actually managed to eliminate three M5s protecting the wreck with only 10% damage), but after I claimed the one in Pandora's gate next to it appeared damaged Mammoth which I was unable to claim. The Mammoth is still there and I tried claiming it both with suit and claim software. Bug or I'm missing something?
P.S. For all those posting about missing marines, I found within first few minutes of playing a station full of mercenaries in Revolving Wreckage.
I've just installed this mod and am finding it weird how there is an impulse ray emitter instead of a repair ray in your space suit. Am I missing something?
EDIT: I am also getting betty saying the wrong name for sectors over the top of a more quiet correct voice. Have I installed this wrongly?

Does anyone know how the "Automatic Resupply" works in the ship R6 Configuration menu? There's not reference to it in the old manuals, and even though I set some wares to resupply on my pirate Carrack, the resupply option in the config is still << x >> with no other options.

Hm yes it sounds like your install is not 100% correct. Try making a new fresh X3:TC install in a new folder and install XTC into that and recheck. IRE instead of repairlaser is intended. If you can't live without repairlaser you have to switch to difficulty "easy", save and reload the savegame.

OK thanks. I already found a way around the repair laser problem without having to set the difficulty to easy. Not sure why the repair laser is gone because how are you supposed to get any money on the harder difficulties if you can't do repair ship missions?

I don't think there are any repair ship missions. Unless I've just never found one.

I mean the find a ship and send it back, they're basically all its possible to complete using one of the starts with a M5 starting ship, that and the follow ship missions but I hate those. Either way I've sorted that problem out.
I am still getting the problem with the voice while entering a sector however.
The actual name of the sector is really quiet but betty is loud and clear saying things like black hole sun. Can't be a botched install unless the XTC installer is botching it because I am using a fresh out of the box install. Its not really an issue because I know what sector I'm entering but I don't want to get into a long game then only to find out something is busted. Anyone think I need to re-download the installer? Or is this a common problem?

Anyone know how do you get the POED or POSY? I can't find them at any shipyard, or even through the cheat mode.
Also I get the voice giving the old sector name and the new sector name when entering a sector too.
Guys, I seem to be having a weird problem with my mod. No matter what I seem to do the version I install doesn't seem to have all that it's supposed to have. There's no sector West of Sirius Prime (and thus the stuff connected to it), Nilus Nihal doesn't even have a background, etc. I'm going to try the UTMOST clean install I can do, delete both Albion Prelude and Terran Conflict from my comp, delete the steam folder it's in, and then start fresh. Though I wonder... is me having Albion Prelude interfering with it? It shouldn't....
Hey InFlamesForEver, would you mind sharing or PM the details of how you fixed your repair laser problem so that you can use it on the harder difficulties? I agree I have no idea how one is supposed to make money (or have the patience to make money) on the harder starts/difficulties without it. I personally hate flying a TS and like starting with a fast ship, and find it pretty awful you can't repair the ship in "return abandoned ship" missions and end up failing it because the silly thing can't make it baclk and then they tell you you stole the damn thing, and theres really no other missions you can do except the occasionally wonky covert ops missions and personal taxi missions. I would say you could assassinate things but since you can't repair your ship, you end up in a huge hole because yuo make like 3k and it costs much m ore than that to repair your ship. And then of course salvage insurance is 3k so then even if you save before you fight something in the beginning at least you only break even. FRUSTRATING.

Start with the Terran beginning above the other terran beginning at the bottom (Above the "Ooh what's this button do?" one) you start with a rapier and a Yokohama. Sell the Yokohama. 22m+ credits in your pocket right from the start. There's a shipyard to the west of Pandora's Gate (where you start) that you can sell it at.
