Try updating the scripts. Due to the latest version update, the EMP changed and scripts had to be updated too.

Cycrow was very fast updating his own scripts but unfortunately you might find that other scripts that introduce new wares are not updated and you'll still see some ZA_.... wares.

I did re-load many of the scripts. It did seem to work--particularly with Board Transporter Extension. But, when I opened the game a second time, many of them (particularly those sold at Argon EQs) reverted to za_custom_etc. etc. Any idea?

Hi

I downloaded the plugin manager, but will not start in Win7 ultimate 64bit.
it crash immediately when trying to open the program

i tried compatibility mode and all that, no luck

any suggestions?

Did you also install the VC++ Redistributables ?

Same problem as FallenBlk here, and I also installed the VC++ Redistributables

EDIT: Wierd...looks like a computer restart fixed it for me.

I also use W7 64 Ultimate and have no problems.

i'm having problem with:
1. installing new Ware Manager 1.01, but it will revert back to 1.00 when i reopen the program again.

2. uninstall Salvage Claim Software 1.21, but it will appear again, like uninstall never done.

is it just those ur having a problem with, or have you try installing another and its been fine ?

it sounds like its having trouble writing to the config file, so no changes are taking.

the 2 main causes for this are access rights to the directory, which you can run in admin mode to get around.

the other is with vista/7 redirecting to a virtual directory. Not sure the way to solve this without turning of UAC

ok, it seems to resolve if i run the plugin mgr with admin right.

I just returned to X3TC after a few months, and when I ran the Plugin Manager, the auto updater updated my SPK libraries to the newest version, 1.4 something I think, and now the manager won't start. It doesn't give me an error message or anything like that, but when I try to run the application, nothing happens. I had successfully opened the program first before it asked me to update, so I know that there wasn't anything wrong before that.

I have forgotten what plugins I had installed, so I was hoping that I wouldn't have to reinstall the manager and lose that data. I'm running the most recent version of TC, and I'm using XP, if that matters.

EDIT: Also, the scripts still all work properly in the game, so it appears the plugin manager still works on some level.

The auto updater was broken in an earlier version so it didn't download all the needed files

Just get the full installer and run that u can just install it over the too of the existing one and it should work fine
U won't lose anything that's installed

My plug-in manager was updated after which I couldn't run the game with it at all as it kept crashing back to desktop, or loading then crashing immediatly saying my saved games were corrupted.
The game works without plugin manager enabled.

I have tried deleting all mods and a clean re-install of the game yet it still does the same thing even with no mods installed.

I have updated the spk libraries as well.

I reinstalled the plugin manager, even installed the beta version to try that.

Idea's would be much appreciated.

the plugin manager by itself shouldn't be effecting the game at all

without anything installed, the only thing it does to effect the game is include some scripts that unlocked modified mode automatically.

the corrupted saves are usually does to when the current mod files dont match what the save game was using, ie, it has a ship in the save game that no longer exists in the data files loaded.

did u have any ships installed via the plugin manager ?
as this will cause it to create new mod files, so its possible there is an error in what its creating. This is usually due to invalid entries in the ship files.


also, when you say the plugin manager wasn't enabled, what do u mean exactly, what do u do to disable or reenable it

Where it says select mod package, I deselect it and press original.

There are no extra ships added in.

Edit: Ok got it to run with the mod package selected but no mods installed, yet curiously your jumpdrive and boarding mods still show up in the interface even with them not installed.

Only thing installed are the 3 script libraries.

Edit 2: Have reinstalled all mods and everything seems to be working now, although would appreciate it if you could tell me how to get the jumpdrive etc to show up as a ware instead of just blank with a credit cost, atm theres 4 things in game I can't figure out what I'm buying lol.

what version of the plugin manager is it, as the current version should use the plugin manager mod file at all.

its possible that its an old file left over from when u was using the old manager.

also, if you only have scripts installed, you dont need a mod file loaded anyways.

there was a recent change to EMP, so make sure u have the latest version of both the plugin manager lite, which includes EMP, and the latest versions of the advanced jumpdrive and boarding scripts

hi i was wondering if somone one could help me understand this thing a little better....as far as what scripts and mods can be added

ive got the cheat package and the factory resource eliminator both in the xml or whatever format that was but is it only those formats that i can use the manager with or can i take a ziped file and put it on the lite manager....

also if xml or whichever format that was is the only usable one could u give me a link to some of those i only found those 2 mentiond above in that format....

im mostly lookin for the pirate guild mod if its not ziped or if ziped can be put on the lite manager. i have nothin to open a ziped file and i really dont want to just be addin stuff to the game through ziped files anyway cause i would most likely mess my game up
