I have a funked up problem. The astronaut is nowhere to be found and mission guidance doesn't seem to work either, so I guess he's dead. The cut scene event happens but no astronaut. It's not being very nice to me, any ideas would be good.

It's 106 miles to Chicago, we've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark, and we're wearing sunglasses.

ahh.. there is another idea - a yaki chokoro.. holds large amounts of goods.
if you dont like pirate bases, use the teladi trading station in grand exchange. In fact, I have a number of TM's as specal ops vessels, as I have need of ships that can hold other ships - that pack more than one jump drive - say to get a springblossom or two out of ardrin.

The bad news is that the best solution is restarting from before the trigger. That means loading a save at the code input stage - or worse, from before you entered Freedom's Reach.Elwood J Blues wrote:I have a funked up problem. This is the least stable section of any plotline in the game, unfortunately.

Wow this is frustrating, im at part 3 of the code breaking, and need to type in the password but guess what, my japanese 106/109 keyboard has the underscore button in a different place, and the game does not recognise this... AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
help...
EDIT
The underscore was nowhere (I pressed all the keys with and without shift), but I managed to solve the problem by installing the US keyboard, restarting the computer after setting it as default, then redoing the whole freaking sudoku (i hate that housewife game), and entering _ like on a US keyboard. thank f**king god.

I was died between the code n sudoku once coz a bit wandering around and then enemies have started to spawn..... Haha 2nd time is the true challenge coz the 1'st code breaking was in my mind...
Thank YOU Very Much

Thank you Spike for the walkthrough, it is still accurate with version 3.1.
Just like to update:
1) I did not experience any major resistance from the deca m3/4s and the stations is still @90% shield when i reach it with my Spitfyre with my TM parked @ 15k away, and after knocking out 3 deca m4s, i received the message to dock my Zephyrus. I am just Assasin(13%) fight rank.
AND the 91 hostages were packed in a container (s or m size maybe) when i check my freight. It did not use up the 91x6=546 units of cargo space. This was one of the amusing part of the plot i think.
2) I did not receive any message notice to find that paranid/teladi npc in freedom reach to pay $56mill credits for the first right to register my own sector with the other paranid in Ministry Of Finance.
It was 15mins later i found it in the mission brief when i took the liberty to check if there was any updates. During this whole time I was busy building my first microchip production loop in Omicron Lyrae.
It cost me $333,333,333.00 mil credits to complete the final paper work. Took me lots of SB ferrying jobs paying 1-3mil credits lol.
Completed plots:-
1) Terran
2) OFF
3) Goner
4) New Home (just completed!)
Incomplete plots:-
1) Hub (89000/150,000 teladianium to go and 0/450,000 ore next lol)
2) Treasure Hunt (in my mission brief)
The rest of the plots i have yet to receive.

Tthank you for the great walkthrough and I would never had finished the plot without it...
Anyone out there?
Now that I am done I wanted to know if you could tell me the differences between the choices in the names for the new home? I picked Guiding Star just because I thought if I picked twisted skies I would have Split wanting to move in.. LOL Anything to note about the differences between the names like Quality of roids or the amount of nividium roids?

Hey guys, I've just started ANH, am up to hunting for the dumb Boron in Aldrin. I've had 3 ships mapping Aldrin for about 6 hours on seta. I've only found 19 stations of the apparent 23 that should be in the sector. I've only found one shipyard, up in the North Western corner. I've mapped the sector at 0, 25, 40, -25, and -40. Any chance of getting station co-ords from someone? or is the sector slightly random?
oh and another little thing.... Sudoku is not a housewife game. My wife hates it and I love it
Its a logic game... so to me it has every place in an AI hacking simulation.
Any help would be appreciated.

You can try to see if it's where it was for me on my last run-through of this mission. As far as I know, it's random though. So it may or may not be there. It's a huge sector, so any mapping commands from any point should probably include a 300km + search radius. Also with the big rock and the autopilot problems it causes, it's probably best to map while you're OOS.claygalvin wrote:Hey guys, I've just started ANH, am up to hunting for the dumb Boron in Aldrin. Thanks builder680, that shipyard is in the same place as my guys have mapped, according to everything elsed I've found there are 2 shipyards. I was trying to find the other one before going in myself. Perhaps I should just try it at that and see what happens
EDIT: Found the 2nd shipyard. MK1 Eyeball... -86.6,-112,-92.3
Had the blue book on it too

Putting the Aldrin planetoid in the center of the sector was a very poor design decision on Egosoft's part. Not to mention making the sector so damn big, with stations way off the system ecliptic. If they were going to do that, they should've made it so the Aldrin representative you meet in the Terran plot gives you a freaking map.
