I had to redo my computer the other day and I reinstalled 1.1 of the plug-in manager and now it doesn't want to keep the modified tag nor all the scripts I put in it. Any help would be nice, I did check the full installation to. Thanks.

Edit - Right click and hit "run as admin" seems to work. Strange though, as my account on my computer is an admin with full rights...

Is there a way to get the manager to stop doing this and add ships the way it used to (whatever way that was)? I've noticed that there is a mod selector in the drop box but it always says no mods were found. Am I doing something wrong here or does it not work yet? I am driving myself insane trying to figure this stuff out. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I'm actually having the same issue, the plugin manager is great for spk but it doesn't seem to recognize any of the mods I have installed (MARS and mobile repair). They show up in the X3tc launcher "mods" window, which leave unselected, but all the mods show up in game, which I can only think is due to plugin manager.

If you install mods/scripts without the plugin manager then those mods won't be recognized by the plugin manager. I suggest you convert you non spk mods so that you may use the plugin manager to manage all your mods/scripts.

ah, that explains it.

I don't suppose you can link to a forum post that has some pointers on how to do that? searching for "mod convert spk" came up with either a ton of entries or none at all.

btw, in case you don't hear it enough, your scripts and mod manager make a great game even more fun.

EDIT: I totally just saw "moderator" and didn't realize it wasn't cycrow replying :)

EDIT2: nm, found it on cycrow's site http://cycrow.thexuniverse.us/

so anyone who's doing in the future here's some keywords

Hey Cycrow, the link in your signature still points to the old mod manager. You may want to change that.

Hi, got some troubles to make this work with my steam TC.

The old plugin manager (1.10 lite) detect my install but in the wrong version of the game (2.5 while it's actually 2.7) and the lastest version don't want to work.

It doesn't detect any install and when i give manually the path it say "no X3 reunion or X2 installed" yeah but i don't really want to rename the exe and mess my steam install stupidly for a result that may vary.

Actually i'm trying to make work something like race response flett on the game cause i'm bored seing huge Xenom forces in sectors and absolutly no one their to stop them killing everything and noway to make a damn thing work, can't even manage IA preferences ingame, so i'm searching for some help about this here.

That's not a problem, it will work anyway.

What version are you talking about exactly ? Plugin Manager Lite 1.10 is the latest stable version.

lite 1.10 is the latest version, it replaced the old 2.12 version, as it was rebuilt from scratch.

the game version it detects is limit, and it'll detect the latest version it can recognise, which is 2.5.

@Cycrow

One of the things I do miss from your old app was the auto-updates of scripts...

Any chance of getting the community on the same boat to get a proper way of updating the scripts though your app? Cheers

First I am New to X3 and scripting. :?:

I might have installed the old one, uhh Plugin Manager V.2.12. The plugin lite V.1.10 is the newest right?

As well as the direstory finder is not finding my install of X3 Terran Conflict DVD install. I have X3-Gold. Does that have anything to do with the DeepSilver DVD install?

I could just have the wrong Plugin Manager for TC and I'm running the Reunion one. So many variables.

Hello Cycrow,
I have an issue with Plugin Manager and your Advanced Navigation Software.
After automatic update of the Manager, the software appears for purchase as ZA_EMP_BLANK_WARE_CUSTOM13_9.
I tried Uninstalling Advanced Navigation Software then Installing again, but ... same problem.

OK so... I've been toying around with the whole EMP/X Plugin Manager debacle. I just installed X3TC, updated everything to 2.7, and installed the X Plugin Manager Light (V1.20). THEN, I installed Cycrow's Advanced JumpDrive. (Along with the necessary Hotkey Manager SPK.) After reading that the plugin manager has its own EMP, I did not install it. End result was the jumpdrive wares had the ZA_ thing going on. (Which to me seems to indicate the plugin manager MUST have EMP otherwise I'd get blank wares.... right?)

So I tossed Advanced Jumpdrive, and tried to install LV's Upgrade Kits. Yep, they work just fine, but are named ZA_blahblah. Then I thought maybe installing EMP might be a good idea. So I did the extra patch thing. (That is, renaming the .cat and .dat files to 12 in my setup. I don't use any other patches.) No worky. Lots more ZA_yaddayadda.

Playing around with some other scripts I found I had no trouble with Salvage Command Suite (TECSG), LV's Freight Transporter, and even Cycrow's Salvage Claim Software. Trying to install Advanced Jumpdrive or LV's Upgrade kits just refuses to work no matter what I do. Even if the scripts are the only ones installed!

I guess my question is this: What am I doing wrong? Do we need to install EMP at all when using the Plugin Manager Light or not?

**EDIT
Erm... OK, apparently I managed to break the Plugin Manager too. It now refuses to start with an "unhandled exception". Picking the continue button produces a hang or I can quit. For right this second, I think quitting is a good thing to do.

As a parting note (I'll probably tackle this again in a day or two), I will say the mods are what makes X3TC playable. :)

Hello Cycrow,
I just undestand what appends
Your t-file (0901-Lxxx.pck ?) and your TWareT.pck file were corrupted during the install.
I cannot open them like others .pck with 7zip, winrar, nor win-gz.
After I downloaded EMP mod and installed it, all goes right
I must say that the auto upgrade crashed the first time I use it  . But it didn't the second. :?:
