TouchMyNipple wrote:How does iex feel about XRM 1.26? Will we have to wait for a new patch or sectors are the same?
Doing it now... it should be out within a hour or two.
The current version of XRMi will be mostly Ok, but it'll lack the soundtrack changes, Goner station fix, plus availability in one sector of the Goner M2 & M3.
This next release of XRMi will be 1.26 compatible and the last 20+ extra XRM sectors have been converted more or less.
EDIT: Thanks Paul, my what a lot of impatient / keen users we have...
The latest IEX 1.3b compatibility patch covering XRM 1.26 is here (3MB).
The map changes between 1.25d.3b -> 1.26.3b contained within XRMi are as follows...
XRM: New music in several sectors
XRM: Elysium of Light : Goner Temple
XRM: Lightseeker : Goner M2 & M3 availability
IEX: Remaining 22 XRM sectors converted... for now
Please forgive me if I drag an old issue forward again (...In search of Guppy)
I noticed some time ago that the M7C ship were not to be seen or bought bin my game. I have posted about this a couple3 of times but have gotten "No Joy" in a remedy. Please allow me to go through my latest attempt to remedy, and hopefully you might see where I bollocked the process.
I have praised your IEX work, and that continues. Beautiful....
As you can see in my Sig, I run only 2 mods, and neither are supposed to affect ship sale availability. Regardless, there are no Guppys at Lucky Planets, no Cormorants at Ianamus Zura, nor have I seen any of these, or any of the new M7C's. Also the Model Viewer, when directed to the AP directory, shows none of these new ships.
Recently, I mistakenly posted to Tech Support, and as you might expect I was immediately Locked (not moved) by A. Phipps. He did offer a suggestion that this type of problem could be a corrupted install/update.
Mr Phipps has always been helpful and i trust his experience. Since I had not done a restart since you released IEX 1.3b, I decided to delete ALL and re-install (complete). The procedure as follows:
1. Delete contents of ....\steamapps\common\X3TC.
2. Steam file verification indicates 1500 files to be acquired.
3. Steam full install complete, apply bonus pack (fresh download)
4. IE/IEX installs with 04/05 cat/dat to \addon, and 04 cat/dat in main Steam X3TC directory.
5. After I had run the game to the point of my first MKIII trader, I then added script and t files. (MK3 Improvement)
After a total of 36 hours gametime, I have worked my way to Lucky Planets, after exploring/Asat the Western Xuniverse (Argon/Paranid).
Sadly, the new ships are still nowhere to be seen. I am careful to check what ships are IS at any time.
I fear that the Mod Layering may be corrupting something.
Please give this some thought. Any assistance would be GREATLY appreciated.
I am not opposed to a restart/re-install...
I can get back to where I am in a few days RL.
I will post to the MKIII Opt. thread also...(if needed)
Thanx again for your Lovely Work and any assistance...
GF

Holy Smoke, GeminiFire! That's a lot of work to find a Guppy!
Did you check the shipyard in Lucky Planets? You might have to be lucky to find a Guppy just flying around, but they should be for sale at the shipyard.
As indicated, I worked my way to Lucky Planets to check the SY, and I was disappointed (No Guppy or any new ship). Also made my way to Ianamus Zura to check that SY for Cormorants, with no luck.
In our previous discussions on this topic, some had suggested that Age-of-Game could affect some ship availability, and this game is very young (36 Hrs). So I am looking to understand what I could have done to inhibit certain ships.
I am very spoiled by IEX and MK3 Improvement, and you have assured me that these Have NO affect on this issue. http://forum.egosoft.com/viewtopic.php? ... &start=480
So after a fresh Steam-Complete reload of AP, I still do not have M7C ships available. I will keep trying...

I think that should be "04/05 cat/dat to \addon" but 14/15 in the main?

I suppose this is the first place to start... Does anyone out there know what the internal game name (eg. SS_SH_T_M7) is for the Guppy, Cormorants, etc. etc?
EDIT: I've just cheated my way to Ianamus Zura & Lucky Planets and I can't see those ships there using my IEX base build directories. Tonight I'll have a look via the TC/AP vanilla install if I get a chance.
Moonrat wrote:I've just looked at the 'x3_universe.xml' file and 'SS_SH_B_DC' isn't anywhere to be seen for either TC or AP. How do they get there?
Apparently my installation was not entirely clean due to a bug in the Plugin Manager's "Fake Patch Control" module. It worked in previous versions of the PM... and it even appears to work now. It just doesn't (*sigh*).
It turns out that there are several popular things that also mod x3_universe. (It would be nice if modders would document the modifications that they make to common files so that we could merge them more easily.)
Specifically, TSOG, Terran Plots for AP (dillpickle), and Lost Colony Expansion Patch for IEX all fix the problem with the Guppy. If you have any of those installed after IEX (as I did), then Guppies can be bought at Lucky Planets immediately after the start of a new game.
However, I have no idea what those other things break while fixing the Guppy.
So there you go, GeminiFire... your persistence paid off. I am sure that Moonrat will have you fixed up in a jiffy.
I would clearly like to fix this but my question still stands "How do they get there?" Help please...
I had a quick look in the vanilla universe map files I can't see the entry for "SS_SH_B_DC"? IEX doesn't change anything else related to ships apart from which ships are in the Shipyards so if it's not in the 'x3_universe.xml' file IEX won't alter it.
DevilishMoney wrote:Is the TSuns fake patch up to date with the current XRMi and will I need to update it in the future when you update the XRMi
The 'TSuns' file wasn't changed in anyway for XRMi only the 'Lensflares' file. Unless I add new Suns in the future then the current release of the TSuns fake patch should cover any future releases of XRMi.
I have reloaded a Vanilla AP and took a Disco for a ride.
It took me a couple of hours, but I have just been to the Lucky Planets SY and found Guppys to be available. So I know the game is not broken, just need IEX and away we go...
So now I am happily awaiting IEX 1.3c Beautification and a new start...
Thank you again for your efforts.... (there are no words...)

Hi, I'm still uploading the new version of IEX 1.3c but I'm guessing that all you really need is the AP 'x3_universe.xml' file. Unpack & drop this into the '/addon/maps' folder and I'm hoping that this should fix your problem. This'll save you having to download the full 300MB...
NOTE : Using this file may cause issues with releases after IEX 1.3c so please delete it if you have downloaded a later full release.
XRM users of XRMi do not use this file, it'll break your game.
dreamer2008 wrote:Thank you very much for the update, Moonrat!
No problems, I'm all for feedback and the nice comments are great to receive also. Let me know if you see anything else not right.
dreamer2008 wrote:I am curious though, as an XRM user, can I install the latest version 1.3c and XRMi? Or we have to wait for an updated XRMi?
IEX 1.3c is a minor release and in this case the only change is to the AP 'x3_universe.xml' map file... regardless of the version the map gets over-written by the one in XRMi in anycase. As a result of this release brought about by you noticing the missing ships, I have also updated XRMi so that the initial menu displays the latest versions of both IEX & XRM. There's no change tho' apart from that for XRM users. So yes you could use either the last version of XRMi (1.26.3b) or the one I have just posted on the OP (1.26b.3b)
dreamer2008 wrote:Also, are all the XRM sectors IEX'd?
Yes all the XRM sectors are now IEX'd. Being a bit of a perfectionist means I'm not 100% happy with everything but at least it's reasonably OK to use in it's current state... I hope. Depending on RL and other X commitments I hope to add more content to both TC, AP and XRM in the future.
I have uploaded a new version of IEX (1.3c), this can be found here or here, this includes the following minor changes...
Fix : Add Maccana to Saturn shipyard
Fix : Add Cormorant to Ianamus Zura shipyard
Fix : Add Guppy to Lucky Planets shipyard
Fix : Add Ariadne to Cardinal's Domain shipyard
Fix : Vanilla AP music in Harmony of Perpetuity, Circle of Labour, Elysium of Light, Treasure Chest, Aldrin 2
NOTES:
All changes apply only to Albion Prelude.
XRMi users are not affected by any changes.
A new gamestart will be required to see the changes.
I have also updated XRMi so that the initial menus show the correct current levels of IEX & XRM, this can be found here.
