What difficulty did you set in the config menu? Last I recall, those were enabled for X-Treme difficulty (and possibly hard too..).Mailo wrote:Any way of distinguishing between the two before getting hit? Only differences i can see are significantly less energy/shot for alpha specials and a purple/blue beam (RGB 128,0,255) for specials, white for standard. Everything else appears identical.Mailo wrote:Any way of distinguishing between the two before getting hit?xavierd wrote:There are 2 types of kyon. Difficulty level is normal, didn't touch any settings in there.X2-Eliah wrote:What difficulty did you set in the config menu? I realize the m7 isent an uber ship is really just a supped up corvette but a m7 shouldent run from a m6 and a m4. I would never dream of taking on a m7 in a m6 because the weapon/shield difference is huge.Aydan wrote:@Arghy:
You're, like trick already said, running into the fact, that the ships were reworked. The M7 class stayed almost the same, the rest of the ships got a little better. So, yes, if you face some M6 in your M7, they will be able to do some damage. This is XTC, and having a M7 does not mean that you're the king of any battle field
You have chosen a double bladed start. You were given a shiny big ship, but you start like every other player, with the same trade and fight ranks. Your task should be to raise your reputation and fighting ranks, in whichever way you choose to. The missions will consider which shiptype you're bringing in, but if your rep and ranks are too low, the NPC will rate your ability to kill something so low, that they think you need a M7 to destroy a M5With a M7, you may loose time, and it will take you longer to raise your rep and ranks due to the fact that you're flying so slow. If you have trouble with this, sell the M7 and buy yourself a suitable fighter for your playstyle. Of course, you'll still need the rep to do so
But you will be given 31 million credits. After a while, they recognise that you have a M7 at hand. They look at your property, so you will get bigger targets.
If the explosion blasts are annoying, switch them off. Go to the AL plugin menu and switch them off. Problem solved. Your M5 takes also damage from a blast, you're just faster than your M7, which has to take the hit. In your M5, you're quicker and out of range, when the blast is happening.
Glad you liking it! You mean the new ship computer? You can yeh, In AL options there is a switch for 'Speak Sector Names'.Ramireus wrote: And now one question: How can I disable that annoying old shipcomputer saying old sector names? setting "vebose computer or someting like that" to "no" didnt help.

Thank you in advance for ansver:)
