Interesting suggestion, I'll have to think about it.

With regards to Pirate weapons factories, there is the small issue of NPC fabs using Space Fuel, whereas a player fab does not. This can be misleading, and has resulted in me stuffing an unnecessary Farm/Distillery into my weapons factory (which I forsee being a potential annoyance in the future...).

May I suggest 2 entries for said fabs? One marked "NPC", and one marked "Player", thus facilitating the construction of both support complexes for NPC stations, as well as the integration of "acquired" fabs into an existing complex.

@Derkylos - I spawned an IBL and PBG forge, after loading in a TL, and they use Nostrop Oil. What do yours use?

@angels7707 - which small factories?

The calculator does not allow to add a Large Teladi crystal Fab.
It IS availablel at the PTNI Teladi Shipyard...

Is there a workaround??

@stimpy61 - the large Teladi crystal fab is there: http://tinyurl.com/yfjdqnx

@oceanmist667 - to each his own. I still can't get Xadrian to run under Leopard or Snow Leopard.

This is the best thing!! I've been using it for several weeks now!! Complex planning is no longer a chore (I used to use a spreadsheet and calculator :)). Thanks!!

This X3 Reunion Calculator....

The Aurora Missle Factory Stats are wrong....it says it produces 90 every hour when it produces 52.9...just above half..that

btw..THANKS..I based a purchase on that infomation, I set up a almost fully sustaining complex that in theory would make me 277k an hour. Instead, it makes me a pitiful 163k. Which...I could of spent money on to make a more efficient complex.

@Doom-Slayer: sorry about that, but the calculator I maintain at http://www.altanetworks.com/x3occ.html has the correct stats for the Aurora missile fab. I'll let rohrbecka know that there is a problem with his version.

Same. I think they're like any other Teladi weapons fab, but I could be wrong ('tho my complex seems to be working right...).

I've tweaked the Pirate IBL and PBG forges, to have no station cost, and added new Teladi versions of the IBL and PBG forges. The reason is, it's unlikely that the player will ever be able to own the version of the forges that require spacefuel, but they may want to include them in the complex calculator, to accurately account for their need.

On the other hand, it is quite possible that the player could acquire the Teladi version of the forges, that require Nostrop Oil as a food, as I and Derkylos have confirmed. It's even possible that they have been added to shipyards in a mod, so I will maintain the cost of the factory for the Teladi versions.

Again, if you see any problems in resource consumption, production time, etc, let me know.

is there a way to see, export/import working complexes? to see how others are doing it for noobs like me :)

Also, in X3TC there is no difference in Ecell production between a 100 and 150% sector?

I've seen many threads with examples of complexes. A search for the type of complex you want to build might turn up something useful. If ppl want to PM links to their complexes, I'd be happy to add them to the site.

As for the sun output and e-cell production, I think one of the bonus packs introduced a significant change to the calculation, and I think setting the 100% and 150% sectors to be the same was part of the change.

This is incredibly useful, I just have one suggestion.
Many of us use the Crystal-free SPP mod to slightly reduce the load in large complexes, as well as for simplicity's sake. It'd be neat if there was a special SPP set or some kind of checkbox for that in the calculator.

Wow, that must make setting up a complex real cheap. Half the stations in most of my complexes are used to make crystals.

You do not need the check box. Set up your complex and ignore the crystal shortage.

Seems possibly, and possibly useful. Although, if I add support for one mod...

Complex advice

Post by Hellfire29 »

Does this complex turn a profit? http://tinyurl.com/29n43j4
I only ask because the calculator says it shouldn't, though my calculations (by hand) say it does. Who's right or am I using the calculator incorrectly?

I tthink it makes a profit without end product selected because you have lots of surplus ore.

Also, did you take into account the extra ECells the 51-yield ore mine will use? Of course, if you're not selling the ore then quite soon it won't be using any quite a lot of the time, but I'm not sure if that calculator models that.

EDIT: I'm guessing it doesn't, since with 300 ore/hour (~9 yield) I think it should be 7200 ECells/hour. Might be an option somewhere...

Can you add a per cycle info and calculations as well? The per hour info seems to always be way off on the material needs to keep everything going.
