liamwoodds wrote:For a new graphic's card I don't want to spend silly amounts but as long as it's within reasonable amounts then that's fine

My monitor will be upgrade to a HD one soon

and my Power Supply is 500w according to the information sheet I got with the PC
"silly amount" is very subjective you know ^^

I assume the power unit is from a good brand, so :

<160$ : 7850 2GB or GTX650 Ti 2GB
~200$ : R7 270X or GTX660 2GB
~250$ : GTX 760

Remember those graphic cards are x20 to x50 better than your GT520 :) (I'm not kidding)
So yes, it's normal you get this framerate.

What about GT630? It is good for something or can I replaced with GTX650Ti?

GT630 is just like GT520. The graphic units incorpored with CPUs nowadays are even more powerful than those dinosaurs.

Go for a 650Ti yes.

The only interesting cards today are those above GT *50.

Is the ATI Radeon HD6670 2GB any good? As I've been told my motherboard will not run anything higher then PCI Express 2.0

PCI-E 3 is compatible to PCI-E 2, vice versa. It's not important.

A 6670 isn't a gamer card. You'll can play some games with it, better with your GT520, but it's not a good investment.

Plus if you want to upgrade you monitor, it will not do the deal.

If you REALLY want something ~100$, you have the AMD 7770. I really suggest you to not buy anything below this model.

PCI Express 3.0 GPUs are backwards compatible with 2.0 sockets, keep in mind though that hi-end GPUs need a decent CPU to drive them.

Oh because the guy I purchased my PC off keeps telling me if I wanted to use a 3.0 Graphic's card I would have to upgrade to a motherboard which has a 3.0 PCI Express

I will start saving up for a graphic card then :)

If I go to my second appartment (where I have 2 GTX460 and one 560 Ti) before Christmas, I'll pick them up with me and send you a message if you wanna deal one of them.

PC gaming has a cost unfortunately.

If value is a concern I'd advise you go for a 2nd hand card with someone upgrading. Something like an NV 680 / AMD 7970.

A 560Ti might work but it has no future.

to the OP try running the game from the onboard graphics card (if you can) i think the intel graphics are better than the 520 you have. worth a shot while you waiting for graphics cards etc

Well after opening up my PC for the first time as my friend told me I have to remove the 520 GT Video Card if i want to use my integrated graphics, So when I finally removed the side panel after being shocked at the stupid amounts of dust i proceeded to clean for the next hour or so.

Anyway after removing the 520 GT card and putting the side back on and hooking everything up I turned it back on, after installing all the updates and rebooting i finally started Fraps + Steam + X rebirth

Now on my old Video Card it would show it topping at 56 FPS on the loading screen, on the integrated Intel graphics it was topping at 19 FPS after about 20 minutes of waiting for the saved game to load it finally load and according to fraps just sitting idle in the ship at the targeting tutorial it was getting 0 - 3 FPS lol, so i ended up reinstalling the 520 GT Video card in to the PC.
