Is that minimum or maximumFreya Nocturne wrote:I give it 3 months before a complete remodel is made of Yisha, including facial animations

It would be good to have a selection of co-pilots perhaps... Split, Boron, Robot, etc. Perhaps even some joke ones like an argon with the head of an Argnu or a split with the head of a Chelt

If i remember correctly, she is part of the plot. So no optional co-pilots. Or maybe only when plot is completed, you could (by modding) replace her with another pilot.Roger L.S. That doesn't exclude remodelling. Like in Mass Effect - Shepard could look like whatever you wanted her to look like, but she still had the same voice (a very good voice if I may say so)valgusepoiss wrote:If i remember correctly, she is part of the plot. Thanks
With my post I just wanted to say, that I don't believe the player will be able to rebuild it's ship to something small and agile. And that is in direct conflict with Egosoft's statement: piloting big ship is not fun in X3 (I agree with that).
Yes, there are drones but I loved the feeling to be alone in a small ship somewhere in the middle of endless space exploring new sectors.

Well you could always push Yisha out an open airlock and settle for a roboticised betty instead (c/f MassEffect 3)assemblerbot wrote:ThanksWith my post I just wanted to say, that I don't believe the player will be able to rebuild it's ship to something small and agile. My point was that what is unignorably immersion breaking for some is not so much for others, and vice versa. In this case, knowing I could jump into a capital ship and fly it around like a broken down fighter blew away any sense of immersion for me, but it obviously didn't bother you much. The same can be said about the ship restriction. It might bother some, but it obviously doesn't bother all.dubnium wrote:well, for starters, capital ships aren't the only other type of ship in the universe, nor do you have to pilot them yourself if they are not your cup of tea - you could order the AI to do what you want in previous games without the NPC captain acting as the middleman. second, i don't see how taking the stick away from the player is going to make it any better - not only does it remain the same hunk of metal, but now you're just a passive spectator making occasionally making suggestions. third, there is no reason why it has to be an either/or type of deal - let the people who hate flying capital ships use the proxy captain, but leave the option to pilot the ship personally for those who like it, or even consider it the most enjoyable part of the game.
And I am not at all oppose to other fly able ships for players (I would, in fact, be very excited for it), even capital ships - although preferably with a more appropriate control scheme. And I think Egosoft agrees with that sentiment, too. They didn't remove ship choice to spite you, or anyone. They removed it because they didn't have the resources to include multiple ships in addition to everything else. People have said that they should have dropped the ability to walk around in favor of multiple ships but that's just short-sighted. The ability to walk in ships and stations opens up so many possibilities for future iterations of the game, and multiple ships should already be technically possible; it must requires a great deal of extra content. It is much easier to add in content than to include brand new features, particularly at the engine level...
