works fine on my 2.0.02 game. U just have to make sure the scripts are running and activated, and that the plugin is pointing to the correct directory.RaGodofTehSun wrote:i dont think it works with any 2.0.0.2 patch, mine says the game wasnt found either
the scripts write all the unvierse stats to a log file for the plugin to read

i know, i'm a bit behind in the times... but having just reinstalled X3 after a LONG absence... i tried installing the G15 applet... i also used your plugin installer to install and "enable" the script (through the installer).Cycrow wrote:works fine on my 2.0.02 game. however, i have not done anything with scripts within the game (never have)... so i also don't know what to do in that regards.
that being said... all i have is the inital "no game found" screen on the lcd.
scratch that... let me try something else (you know... having strikethrough along with bold and italics would be nice)

Goobers, u need your game in modifed mode for the scripts to actually work, otherwise the scripts wont run, so no data wil lbe sent to the applet. Read the sticky about enabling the script editor to do this.
Vyruz, sorry i completly missed your possed before, but is everything work now, or do u still have a problem ?

Everything fine now. I start the guild.promotion.test script and it showed up on the LCD. I just reinstalled the applet long ago.
It was actually my bad that I completely forgot this
, till Goober showed up.
PS: This applet was actually the reason why I bought the G15
Thx u very much for this cool applet.

i know it's supposed to be fairly "obvious" to most people... but it would probably be helpful if you had mentioned that in the front page "Script Editor needs to be enabled".
like this...
or in keepting in line witn "Check sticky"... end withYou use the Script Manager to install these scripts and it works as an AL Plugin and can be enable or disabled in game via the AL Settings menu (while in-game under Gameplay options). If you don't have that setting, you need to enable the in-game script manager by changing your pilot name to Thereshallbewings. Make sure it's capitol T, and watch the Ls, should be double (X3 doesn't like when you type too fast). If done correctly, your name won't actually change.
(the check sticky part won't work if they're not looking at this forum, but an already downloaded file.)If you don't have that setting, you need to enable the script manager (check sticky).
I was left with the assumption that the Script Manager took care of it. had to go 12 pages into this thread to see your post regarding it.
It's like back in hs, when i was tutoring a friend in math... everything is obvious to me... and as it turns out, easy to my friend... but sometimes, things aren't that obvious.
don't take it the wrong way... although i would also like some other tidbits included in the LCD display (probably more complicated than what is normally needed), i greatly appreciate the fact you took the time to make it. thank you.

This is a great applet for the G15, has helped me a lot within the X universe
However, i've encountered a small problem with the game time. If the time consists of more than 8 numeric characters (e.g 20d 16h 34m 31s) then it will simply drop the first character (leaving me with 0d 16h 34m 31s). When the seconds (or minuites/days for that matter) drops down to a single digit (leaving me with 7 or less numeric values) the hour displays properly again with all it's digits. Not a major problem, but suprised me when I first saw it. Is there any work aorund for this? There is room for displaying 8 numeric (and associated d/h/m/s labels) values and still having a gap between them and the "Game time:" caption.

The combat computer, how is it used exactly? I bought it on my M2 Titan and it just sits in my freight bay, with the only option to eject. I had a look on page 3 of the 2nd button too and all it says is "combat computer" at the top, I thought it was supposed to display some stats?
Also, how close are you to releasing the next version? I want my commas
Thanks

well, currently, all the combat computer does is display the number of enemies close to you and number of missiles that are fired at you.
but of these are in the Target menu, in the top left and top right corners you will have numbers if the computer computer is installed.
the Combat Computer page will had extra sstuff eventually, but its not implentented yet

I found a small error in the third section (reputations) I am currently Master Broker (22%) and Assassin (9%) but the G15 applet displays: Assassin (8%) and Master Economist (51%).
So while the combat rank is okay (ish, 1% off you can probably attribute to rounding errors) however the Trading rank is widely off, by more than 2 ranks...
(oh btw Cycrow, there is a small issue with your plugin manager. More precisely, with running X3 from it in Vista, see this thread)

the trade ranks i know about, the ranks are found using the same formula as the combat ranks, which now appears it uses a different one instead, so i'll have to work out that one to fix it.
im not sure how to fix the run program in vista, as i dont run vista, it would be impossible for me to test it. It could be simply a problem with QT's process in vista.
which means the only fix would be to change it to a Win32 API call instead, but without having vista, it would be impossible to test it
