You're putting the underscores in correctly, yes?

I saved it before entering the passwords in case I got them wrong. Otherwise you have to do all the codebreaking again :s

I found the codebreaking stuff quite fun, although I found the sudoku interface to be a massive pain in the arse until I worked out it was quicker using the mouse than the keyboard. :)

You have to do the codebreaking again if you have to reload. I think. If not, please let me know so that I can update the Guide; that sort of advantage will be invaluable.

I saved with the dialogue box open for entering the password the first time. When I reloaded, the dialogue box was still open, so I was able to continue from that point.

I suspect that if you close the dialogue box you would have to start again from the beginning.

I don't know for other languages but in french the first code for hacking have been partially translated in french ...

You have CEUWinters ... and not USCWinters ... but it still require you to put USC and no CEU. It make this part a pain to figure out without cheating in my case :/

I wouldn't know anything about that, and I'm not the one responsible for the French language version of the Guide...

Come to think of it, is there any equivalent guide in other languages?

Haven't seen any in french, but your guide work well, the password you give is the right one even for located version of the game, but they translated the code guiven in messages so if you make the plot without guide, your screwed, that's only what i wanted to tell, maybe some will be confused and try in there own language, and have to start all again.

Every time I return with the UFCJD to Freedom's Reach I get killed within seconds. No chance to jump out again. I tried several times. Poltergeist terror, sudden death over and over again.
Maybe it is the combat mod 3 that makes them jump at me the very instant I make my appearance?

After having deinstalled the combat mod I actually managed to jump unfocussed in and out of FR almost a dozen times, fought off endless Xenon N's in USectors only to get blasted on returning to FR most of the time.

It has nothing to do with mods. The UfJD always puts me near the north gate of FR, right in the middle of the Xenon frakks.

It is another fine example of Egosoft mission design.
The reason why I have not yet finished Final Fury. Repetitive grind.
Why they bother with missions at all is beyond my reasoning.

Downloading cheat package now. My spare time is not endless. The same is true for my patience.

Edit

In God mode I jumped again in the middle of the frakker fleet, flew to the Trading Station, followed by dozens of Xenon, to find the station besieged by another dozens of ships, while I killed some, a lot more jumped in.

The amount of enemies seems to be coming from my combat rank. Well...

Imagine Che Guevara had to fight the 1st. US Cavalry Division, anytime he went onto a mission in the jungle with his whacky bunch.

Imagine Stalin had to leave the Kreml on a mission, with only one fighter craft to fight off his trillions of enemies.

No warlord goes singlehandedly on a mission when his enemies know his whereabouts. The gamemechanics of A New Home seem to do that. Are the designers completely nuts?

looking at the post above, it is not egosoft fault that you dont have the necesary skills to finish it. most people have done it, this is a game not a real life experience, so rules are trully what the game designer has put in place. if you think it is too difficult, you can always use the cheat scripts.

I beg your pardon, but no-one else has reported your problem and therefore it is something to do with mods, and it is not an example of Egosoft being useless with design.

Mods change game files in many ways, and uninstalling them does not always revert the game files to the Egosoft standard.

This is why your post, concerning a modded game that is not to Egosoft's standards, does not belong in this thread. And why, until you have checked that uninstalling your mod has reverted all X3 game files to vanilla bit for bit, I don't want to hear you or anyone else complaining that modded games not working is a mar on the fine work that Egosoft and the devs do for us.

Please accept my apologies. You are right of course.

It is my fault that I use mods in order to enhance the game to my liking, whenever I feel like it.

Egosoft is the best company in the field, which I will not get tired of repeating in this forum. That is the reason why I am a faithful customer since X BtF.

As I have posted in another thread: "we criticize hardest what we love the most".

Where would I post occurring problems? Not in the thread where problems are being reported?

If you do not want to read this, simply stop reading. Ask the Admins to kindly remove my posts if you get too excited.

since your game is modded, youll have to ask in the appropriate mod thread, NOT in the vanilla section.

Does the word Community Mission mean anything to you? An yes we are nuts, as we spend 100's of hours trying to expand your game experience for free.

Anyhow, to your problem, it relies in your faulty skill of reading. If you return to Freedom's Reach after each unfocussed jump, means you used the UFJD IN Freedom's Reach, which is wrong. You have to use the UFJD to GET to Freedom's Reach, avoiding the CPU ship.

Means you have to use the UFJD OTHER than from FR, after a few tries you get to FR safely 100km away from the CPU ship.

Carry on.

MFG

Thank you very much Ketraar for pointing this out for me. Please accept my sincere apologies. I stand corrected. It seems my logic and/or reading skills betrayed me.
I should not have let my impatience make me post unjust remarks.

Punishment was swift. I regret having installed the cheat mod, very much so.

Thank you also for being a member of the fine group of people who improve my game experience with every mod, script and additional content. For free.
