Why so difficult?Cpt.Jericho wrote: Only if we start all over again or put wild james back on the roster. If you quit now it means that mutiny is in the next round (got a free ticket if you want to put it like that) and we technically started the actual fighting with only 31 fleets.
Another solution could be that you and all of the other massive ship fleets reconsider one final time with a 245mio limit (seriously, a little handicap would be a must since you guys know against whom you fight and what the others have brought). A withdrawel of competitors is in my opinion the worst possible solution.
Just let Wildjames compete against Mutiny. It's just a second chance for him in the first round, so no free ticket or something else. See it like the first match was manipulated by a fleet spammer

@fleetspamming against mixed fleets: Cpt.Jericho: I am really sorry, but you can't blame the players with massive-fighter-fleets for their cleverness

Are you looking for excuses, just in case ...

Just in case what?:P
Well, it seems I didn't realise just how many options you had equipping 2 different ship types.
Anyway, I'm not that confident about the chances these massive whatever fleets really have. Take those 359 Iguanas with 5 PACs each. 359 sounds like a real high number but considering the recharging rate of a TP this means it can fire a few shots on an initial attack run. Then, however, it's more or less crippled down to it's turret and 50 MJ shielding. The Iguana might be a fast ship but it's also quite big and sluggish. Even slower medium weapons can hit it.
And I don't think that relying on a single tactic (quantity vs. quality) is clever. AVs Oddy should be nasty enough to get rid of Solanos with MDs or PRGs, and it is capable of taking on cap ships, too.

Just in case of what we both think ofCpt.Jericho wrote:Just in case what?:P

@AV's fleet vs. Iguana: quod sit demonstrandum
But I wouldn't consider the Iguanas that strong as well. Without lagging I think AV's fleet e.g. wouldn't have a chance against my Solanos, especially if they would carry PAC instead of PRG (acc. to last statements the PACs are said to be better, even though I am not convinced, but I have not enough experience with PACs and PRGs on AI-fighters).

That's funny. I think PRGs are the better choice against PSGs on capships than the PAC. Even only because of it's slightly higher range. Yet' I haven't used the PRG very often on my personal ship (because it couldn't do a better job on smaller ships than the PAC) and I can't remember using it on AI ships. But in Reunion I used the PAC very often and it did never let me down.
As far as I can see in your battle the PRG didn't do a really good job. So, I won't probably won't use in my personal game.

Well, since it will lag as hell, they might can land a considerable count of hits, while my fighters/Oddy could not perform as the might could against other fleets with less ships.
Plus, I have to survive the combat against EJ first.
Plus², I think that the mixed fleets like mine will have a really hard time against monoform fleets due to the number advantage.

Well, the Solanos took an awful long time to take down the Boron capships and those had neither good fighter support nor anti-fighter capabilities. But yes: It would lag like hell
.
As for your battle against EJ: Good luck - I'm counting on you

Not to sound impatient or anything TJ but at the current rate of fights the final round won't be for months.
And if the plan is to increase the fleet cap number for XFF II then I think we may (will) need multiple people to runs the fights, upload vids, etc.
But on the brightside the newly created X-wiki should be done by then and we can use that as our pricing guide (once the pricing issue has been sorted out over there).

Which would make them unfair. And if the plan is to increase the fleet cap number for XFF II then I think we may (will) need multiple people to runs the fights, upload vids, etc.
I say that TJ just hurries up a bit.

Maybe one of you scripters should write a script where you can preconfigure the fleet with the loadout required including spawning and stuff. :þ Perfect would be a local file where the stuff has to be put in and can be read from ingame by calling up. THIS I guess would make it even better.
Edit: oh, I did really overlook it, read only the first post, not the 2nd. :/ Now that's a shame. 'turning red and moving along' ...

... what is a drop of rain, compared to the storm? ... what is a thought, compared to the mind? ... our unity is full of wonder which your tiny individualism cannot even conceive ... I've heard it all before ... you're saying nothing new ... I thought I saw a rainbow ... but I guess it wasn't true ... you cannot make me listen ... I cannot make you hear ... you find your way to heaven ... I'll meet you when you're there ...

Yeah, I know the battles are going a bit slow right now. But don't worry, I'll speed things up
As for India, I only really was there for like 30 or so hours.

We should have a proper calculator much sooner than that. I have one already set up, and ashkrowe and I were meant to be putting the prices together. But I haven't heard from him for a while (last I heard his job was giving him a lot of grief) and I have exams in a few weeks, so it may be a while till we can actually put that out there.Deadbeat_Spinn wrote: But on the brightside the newly created X-wiki should be done by then and we can use that as our pricing guide (once the pricing issue has been sorted out over there).
That said, I'm tempted to release the beta (no prices) now and let people put the prices in for themselves...

Better calculator? And on which prices is this calculator based?imperium3 wrote:We should have a proper calculator much sooner than that.
