Yes Maxxler, you should know by now that we FULLY appreciate what you've done ;)
I've said something on the same lines - why Egosoft themselves would not indulge in throwing us a bone with more meat on it, and AFAIK that's all the criticism around here regarding scarcity of info coming from officials...

Now then. Give us all you've got. :D

Even beer and sausage land's west neighbourg fans are really gratefull. Without you our days would be darker and grimmer just wondering what might or might not have been said in this interesting but unintelligible language.

The reason Egosoft arnt making official statements is because they dont wnat to fall into the trap this early of promising features which re not yet fully tested and then being slated if those said features are non existent , broken or poorly executed at the time of release. Playing your cards close to your chest is the best way at this stage. Im sure we will get a small amount of info very soon :)
I used to list PC parts here, but "the best" will suffice!

Is there anything wrong about a French thanking a German?

I've seen plenty of those. I would rather see one or two pages from the game's manual every day, myself. ;)

I wonder if the big ships (M1/M2) fit in the trade lanes. I hope not: I want to put my ship at a 90 degree angle in the trade lane and squash all those irritating business competitors.
Pretty sure I saw a picture of this...they have their own lane over the smaller ships. I imagine travel thought the gates now has positioning other than dead center, so bigger ships won't smash the little guys.

So many wishes....

As for me, only 2 things are lacking in X3TC.

1) multi-core support
2) comfortable ship and empire management (interface issue)

other then this 2 thing, X3TC is perfect enough for me.

thing 1 is definitely will be in X-Rebirth
thing 2 .... we'll see.

And I bit afraid that X-Rebirth will be ..... simplified.
I hope capital fleets, trading empires and all this sandbox stuff will be still available in X-Rebirth.

@Maxxler

Your vid and reports from Fedcon have done more to bring fans back to playing the game than any other source in the last 2 years.

Grateful thanks from a lowly Mod developer :boron:

I’ve kind of lost interest in X3:TC but I’m very hopeful/excited about X:R, especially any UI and modding improvements.
I’m sure Egosoft will do an outstanding job and the videos released/posted so far look great.

Keep up the great work.

I wonder if, since some stations are close to the planets, the planets also take part in the economy; they produce food (more logical imo) and transport it to a station in orbit, where you can buy it and distribute it to the factories. SPP you put close to the sun, raw materials you've to mine in the ore belt / nebula. This way you'll need big sectors and the stations close to the sun/planet/orebelt as shown in the video's, connected by the trade lanes.

In fact, I wonder what type of products you have to make in space (besides raw materials / energy / ships) if you're close to a planet with xxx billion people on it?
Burn the land, boil the sea,

Somehow I kinfa hope taht among those annonced changes, we will see a different / revamped rep system.
The current system is unforgiving in that just flying with a big shipin a mildly populated sector can lead with suicide traders bumping you, and causing you large chunks of rep loss.
Could be good to see a new system with maybe not simply race rep, but also corporation rep, not the same as TC where corp is a single station + its ships, but a corp being a group of stations owned by the same group. It would also sound more logical to be hated by the corp you caused loss to and not by the others.
Well in the end it my sound like EvE Online's rep system but its not bad.

Sure it will, although 'M' won't be called 'M', '0' a '0', and the ship is probably smallest in the fleet, essentially a fairy-sized recon-drone.

"M0" is a reference to a misunderstood concept that does not fit nor benefit a game, isn't it? :goner:

It comes from the human need to categorise everything, so big frak off shiny ship = M0
