I've tried searching for this but haven't seen anything. When I use god mode/no collisions, it usually works. Every now and then, however, I'll be in a battle and randomly explode and get Game Over. What is it that could be killing me? Both cheats are active at the same time. Missiles go through me, I go through obstacles just fine, etc.
On a related note, I captured a couple ships and set them to god mode and to manually fly to a shipyard. I check the shipyard later and they're not there. I notice in the logs they were killed. Does god mode not work when they're in a different level?
Thank you for the scripts though. You're awesome

Ok, so I modded a ship with the X3 Editor 2 and now I'm getting a -4 on some options with the cheat package. I have the steam version if it matters.
EDIT: Here's what I did, step-by-step
1. I copied the 08's to the mods directory
2. I renamed them
3. I opened it in X3 Editor 2
4. I opened tships.pck
5. I edited the ship Nova Prototype(If that matters)
6. I saved it
7. I started up X3:TC, selected the mod and started the game
8. I exited at the start screen
9. I started it up again
10. And here we are

the -4 is when ur using an old version of the game.
its for the selections in the menu, that dont work with an old version.
the most likly cause is that the game isn't loading in all the patch files, so its not loading in the latest obj files which contain the engine updates.
my guess is that u've copied the whole of the 08.cat/08.dat files and using that as the main mod ?
its better just to create your own mod and add the TShips file into.
is there a reason you chose 08.cat ?
as its not even close to being the latest file used.
so all the old files in 08 will be overrighting the newer versions, so u've half reverted your game back to an earlier version by doign so

You should be pulling the TShips out of the highest numbered cat/dat pair that contains one (13, I believe, because of the Boron Angel fix). Then package that file into its own new cat/dat pair and make your edits. Rename it to the highest number, and you've just created your own fake patch. The only file you want to override is TShips, so it should be the only file in your patch.

quick question. i'm trying to use this with xtc. fresh game. i pop myself a valhalla, and suddenly, i'm losing recognition and am under attack by my former allies. why? i've tried changing the "minimum notoriety" fields with x3 manager 2. i've tried the cheat script to "fix my sector reputation", i've tried the "set notoriety to" script.
what am i doing wrong/not doing/not figuring out?

ok, so it's actually xtc, and not the cheat. thanks!
also, i call bullsh*t. the xtc shipstats excel file they provide does list a price for the valhalla (and all atf ships), but for kha'ak and xenon, they actually say "not buyable".
whatevs. thanks again!
edit: i figured out that to get one without aggro, you need to spawn one of a different race, and then can assume ownership through the cheats
and now, a new question: i supertuned it. all was well. then, i had to jump to a new sector. when i emerged, my supertuning was gone, and i can't add new supertunings to it. any ideas?
reedit: the maneuvering parts of the supertuning seem to have stuck around, while the speed portions have mysteriously disappeared.

Now this is one loong thread, so I'm sorry if this has already been answered earlier.
Can these cheats also alter your fight rank? Because I really hate the fact that the more I play (ie. kill things) , the tougher the missions get.
If not, is there a similar script that can set your fight rank to a value of your choosing?
Thanks in advance.

Changing fight and trade rank isn't possible via Script Editor. To increase your fight rank you can use the "Spawn fodder" option in the cheat package, which will spawn a certain amount of almost destroyed, enemy ships, which you can destroy easily to gain fight rank.
Though, it is possible to set the fight and trade rank via the Mission Director. With this script by Jens Ka you can set your fight rank to 0.
