Sleek and clean design, a bit inspired by the space x dragon capsule and some automotive design.

The biggest question is whether their will be a fly able Tesla. (Easter Egg perhaps?)
We don’t know what paradise is like, but probably it’s blue magenta, flecked with pink. But even if it’s green and red-checked we should make the most of it. -Boron saying

@ theborg921: That would be be one way to really offend the people who paid, or will pay, for the CoH DLC! :D

I wonder if there will be any new ships outside of DLC for 4.0?

3.0 added 3 ships (Ares, Cormorant, Xenon T).

my bet would be for 5.0 patch, they seem to be busy with CoH ships
Fixed ships getting spawned away from ship configuration menu at resupply ships from automatically getting deployables.

Possibly, I mean they were able to make three ships for the base game while making Split Vendetta.

Lino says the only ship they are still working on is the Terran frigate.

Or simply provide the people who already paid for the CoH DLC access to those? :)

Not a good idea.

That might mean they need to do a public beta plus branch for the DLC Assets and maintain that alongside the regular beta branch just for those CE edition owners that have opted into the beta, that want to preview the content NOW.
They can get the content immediately anyway when 4.0 and the DLC is officially released.

too much work for minimal gain.

also what happens then should another DLC be developed alongside a major game release point of X4?
Collector Editions only promised the first two DLCS of X4 Foundations

I agree with you on this, I would prefer Egosoft to spend the time and effort on 4.0 and the new DLC. The core-game contains all the logic and needs testing.
The DLC is, I think (correct me if I'm wrong) a collection of 3D designs, missions and additional sectors. Something that, potentially, could also be included in a mod.
also what happens then should another DLC be developed alongside a major game release point of X4?

Personally, I will buy any further DLCs if Egosoft decides to make them.

Heh, your joke was also a developer's worst nightmare scenario. You probably had them worried to death in case you were being serious! :D

Hello everyone,

Please recommend, i have owned x4 with vendetta when it relised, but didn't play.
At preasent moment i back again to it to play for the first time and i see that soon will be v 4.00 with a lot of futures.
So i can't decide, play now with v3 or wait v4.
On the one hand, I want to play with the latest content, on the other hand, by the time of the release of v4, interest may already burn out until the next time :)
If i know that v4.00 will be relized by the and of February 2021, i would wait for it.

So what is you thoughts and may be recomendations on this?

also, i want to play with mod XR ship pack. I loved one ship from XR named Midir in mod it called event horizon gas miner.

So in case of relizing v4 it also will take some time for modder criator to upgrade it to v4.

So :D , what do you think?

Play now. The game has a non-flat learning curve. You can learn the basics with current version.

What Jhetone said, a lot of the game will be the same after 4.00. It’s best to learn the basic mechanics for a week or two.

In order to keep it from being boring set challenges for yourself. Ie: wealth limits or certain ship set only.

:!: Stream notice :!:

In approximately one hour (17:40 CET), Bernd will be joining a big German games format live for 15-20 minutes over on https://www.twitch.tv/monstersandexplosions and https://www.youtube.com/user/GameStarDE - while this will be short and in German language, I thought I should let you know anyways, in case somebody wants to listen in for any spontaneous new information that can be translated afterwards ;) No promises though, haha. But you'll never know where the live situation leads towards. Cheers & enjoy.
