Would've been funny if it wasn't so sad.

yeah, that top right one really had me puzzled:
All of a sudden there was this ship, traveling surrounded by unexplored space and heading back for the main base from outside the regular map area.
No idea how it got there in the first place....

Not to mention that tiny explored dot in the north area... seems someone teleported there and back? odd.
Looks like a broken hyperdrive - but I'm playing vanilla :P

Top right looks like deployable drift. It eventually was moving so fast that its reveal was discontinuous.

Those picture reminds me that Egosoft should seriously consider "map hex zoom reset" for 2.5.
From what they said they are aware of the problem with map zoom.

Curently I'm rather fortunate to have only one sector in Black Hole Sun that is suffering from huge zoom out due to ship beign thrown far off map, but the problem will arise sooner or later.

Yeah I really do like the continuous map, but I also wish it were possible to somehow control the individual sector visualisation. Maybe hold a key and scroll to move individual hexes could work or something.

A reset or just keeping zoom at default regardless of explored area would be really nice. I have several sector maps which show no information due to zooming out.

The worst about that is that i have no explored area outside the central region, it just happened on its own without any of my assets uncovering anything beyond the central zone. I was cautious and never let that happen (even all my explorers follow manual waypoints, never used the explore command for that reason).

Top-right, the pilot traveled from one sector to another without using a jump gate/accelerator. He could only do this if he fed space weed AND space fuel to the ship's power plant. Something to think about. Poor Man's jump drive.
The new PC I just built for myself:
i5-13600k, 32GB DDR5 RAM, RTX 3060 12GB
It'll do until I can upgrade the graphics card.

While on the subject of space weed, it might be interesting to add a game mechanic which would give a rationale as to why it is illegal in the first place. For instance, when it is available, nearby factories suffer a production efficiency drop!
