Did they buff turret aim and damage? Because if they didn't capital ships are still garbage. :(

Don't think so, no patch notes on this (besides turrets from capped ships not working at all, they fixed that).

they didnt. i also dont think it is needed. the only think wich is needed, would be S size turrets on capitals. Because the M and L work fine for their respectiv targetclass, its just nearly impossible to hit a S size target.

I assume this is the issue with ships spawned by "clear minefield" missions.

I thikn this might be the thing that cover the issue:
"Fixed ships to be rescued from a minefield responding to attacks."

The problem with the reversed audio surround channels seems to be fixed in Beta 1.5! Everything sounds ok now and Betty sounds pretty too - Thanks Egosoft!

No, that just makes it so they don't freak out and try to run, causing them to run into a mine and explode.

The issue Axeface probably means is the fact that some people were finding abandoned ships all over the place like it was cotton candy.

The guild missions spawn ships surrounded by mines, you dont have to accept the missions for the ships to appear. You can just capture the ships with no penalty without accepting the missions. They are everywhere in my game and its very exploitative, so I am avoiding capturing abandoned ships at all. I tried to do the missions and return the ships to get rid of them, but as soon as I finish the missions more show up.

I am having a massive FPS drop after about 5 mins in game with this test branch. Single digit FPS in map mode, standing in any station, ship cockpit, etc...it's not playable in this state. Tried changing graphic settings to no avail yet. I do have a massive PHQ though and I have seen some other posts point at large Stations draws are killing this patch?

This is about turrets on captured ships that did not worked previously. It has nothing to do with turrets being pointless due to messed up targeting
Yes, they don't aim better then the front guns of AI ships.
So what is your problem? Everything works bad on the same level. But it works, eventually.
If you really want a turret that always hits, use laser for those pesty Xenon N. Or get missiles for the big bang against the Khaak.

The classic mouse steering was, according to the patch notes, unfortunately not yet realized ...... Bernd said in the video He think it would come with 1.5 ...... :(

You mean the mode where you have to pick up your mouse all the time because you run out of desk space?

Not yay. Turrets are still garbage, and it reverses the entire balance of combat ships. S Fighters are now stronger than M frigates, which are stronger than L destroyers. And carriers are completely useless.

If Ego can’t fix the turrets not tracking their targets properly, they should just add flaks from X3.

You mean the mode where you have to pick up your mouse all the time because you run out of desk space?
yes, the mode wich in my eyes is the best mode for control... since XAP i only have used the Keyboard without mouse because of that... i just cant work with it

Frigattes aren't fighters mate, Corvettes are the M class fighting specialists and the nemesis vanguard is a BEAST, also smaller ships always have the advantage of small ship signature, faster speed, better maneouverability, and being a very small target which can easily be missed by the largest caliber weapons, but bigger ships deal with them by having larger caliber weapons which eat small ships for breakfast, avoid ships with turrets for main armaments while turrets are broken, beam laser weaponry is godlike for chewing away at shield and hull, the antigone republic have the best S class fighter with 6 gun slots, the paranid empire have the best M class corvette, I have no idea what is the best L or XL ship as they're slow whales and the capital weaponry is pretty bad at killing anything that isn't another capital or a station.

Seriously avoid frigates, they are more like turret boats and are they are not front line fighters, they are more of a passive support unit I think, corvettes lead dway :D
