Dam that seems like a huge oversite. Like mind boggling. So wondering if maybe the reason your seeing this is because when you modded it, it became like a normal warf. Requiring everything.
Only other thing is that it does not explain the lack of Kha'ak and pirates and why some faction also seem to stop building.

Ah, Pirates are there but they are hidden. If you start scanning ships some of them will suddenly change designation to the Pirate Factions. There is even a Masked Behemoth Raider it seems.
Also maybe it's different in my Game but Kha'ak are all over the place in my game (though I admit only lone ships or small groups).

None of those are used in the default loadout for Xenon.
So, interesting seeing the dummy shipyard GUI, but nothing of note from this.

Lot of their shipyard stuff seems to just be copy/paste off argon tbh. Makes sense why there be some strange looking things that really don't matter.

I don't think the idea is xenon will invade as in destroy everything in it's path but rather cause a large disturbance. But I guess in the end will see what really happens lol

A very good rule of thumb for Egosoft games is simply to wait a year or 18 months. I ignored that rule this time but sitting here staring at a universe where I can leave the game running for hours and lose none of my fleet, where I can play for 8 hours and not see a single enemy ship, I’m thinking of shelving it.

Did you try to bring the missing components and see if they then build anything ?
Use cheats to destroy all local ships and full the shipyard to see what happens.
As some said, maybe it's true and maybe not, but would be nice if it was koz it would be easy to fix !

You mean moderators? This has nothing to do with them. They usually only have a contact with Community Manager (if a company has one), or someone who’s responsible for running the forum. Moderators are volunteers, and their "job" is primarily to make sure everyone sticks to the forum rules. When they have time and know the answer to something, then they may decided to respond to a question, but that's not their primary focus.

the game was crashing and deleting saves last weekend dude, they have their priorities straight here you know

There's another thing about the economy...
Egosoft have gone for a full simulation - which should be applauded.
However, testing a simulation and every iteration of an economy cannot be underestimated. In isolation it probably worked for them as they played entirely to design. However, in the hands of joe public the sheer volume of play styles of iterations means that, we as players, are finding far more loopholes and flaws. We're not operating or adhering to the script and that's incredibly hard to second guess.
I don't believe they've been lazy and not tested.
I think they've tried to do something ambitious - that we all want - but new discoveries happening all the time means refinement will take time.
