I have a strong suspicion they'll be featured in a DLC. ^^ Maybe not the Sol system itself, but a Terran outpost somewhere in the old Commonwealth.

The Boron and Split could be given similar treatments, too (my guess is Split before Boron, since I'm pretty sure we've been told there ARE Split to be found in the starting universe, just no Split ships or Split-dominated factions)

Lets first see some live gameplay before we even talk about buying or preordering X4. XR looked nice too but we all know how it turned out

The videos both looked great, especially the longer one that delved into an overview of features. I adore the music, and the visuals seem solid. After 3600 hours FA Off flying in Elite Dangerous, I just hope that the flight model of X4 stacks up. I'm definitely pre-ordering, as it seems that Egosoft has managed to capture that "magical" feeling and vibe that I had when first discovering X3 TC (my entry into the series). I especially like the Expanse vibe the combat seems to channel.

With that said, I'm a little surprised that Ego isn't throwing a bone to those who bought X Rebirth and stuck it out, like the Collectors Edition as a free upgrade to all owners of XR. Not a biggy for me as I don't require that to make a purchase, but I think it would have been a pro move in the public relations department.

Anyhow, pretty happy to see another X game coming down the pike:)

I ordered the collectors edition from the egosoft shop. Does anybody know how long it takes until I receive the key for steam? I ordered half an hour ago and did not receive anything yet except of the paypal confirmation.

Take a look at your spam folder! That happen to me also, I got now my keys!

we do not yet have a final agreement with DeepSilver regarding a boxed version.

So... a physical collectors edition might still be coming I guess... would it be better to wait a bit or easy enough to upgrade to physical (assuming you'd get a steam key with that as well).

I very much doubt that you'd be able to "upgrade" from a digital to a physical Collectors Edition without buying again, and that assumes that an agreement is reached to produce the latter at all. I can't advise you on what you should do, however; that's entirely your decision.

Click on your name at the top right corner of the forum, choose User Control Panel from the list that drops down, go to the fourth tab called "Egosoft Settings", then the second sub-tab called "Game Registration". The Steam link option is there.

This is likely something entirely outside your ability to answer, but just in case... do you guys have any idea if a hypothetical physical CE would include bonus goodies, or basically just a DVD?

Just showed off the wicked X4: Foundations trailer to a bunch of gamers today and ran them though a quick and dirty from Kile's booboo to X3AP. Hope it gets them out of thinking a space game has to have a Millenium Falcon.

I purchased from Egosoft directly so they'd save the 15% that Steam takes just to see that they charge more on their site. Its different per where you're in the world on pricing so just compare the two.

I just purchased the standard version thru Steam, and anxiously awaiting the 11/30/18 launch. Both graphics and interface are spectacular and look and feel similar to Star Citizens' recently released Alpha 32.

However, now I am not very pleased. I live in Belarus and the price for my country is indexed in Steam. It is 29,99$ when Russia, which is on my right, costs less than $ 19. I think that this is unfair, based on the fact that in Belarus the standard of living is no higher than in Russia.
Buy for 29,99$, I will not fundamentally.
