This must be satire? We clearly know Egosoft is only going to give us a Release Date when ready. It's more of a joke like are we there yet in the back seat of a car... The game is set to release anytime now sept-dec. People are hyped and excited. 1 - Management menus, especially the buy/sell interface. Nothing was shown about this and I remember that the command menu optimized for gamepad that has been introduced for XR was clearly not the best idea.
2 - NPC Workforce : how the user will handle with this new kind of resource. Will we need to transport and even able to capture lot of people?
3 - More about the structure of the universe and its dynamics. What Egosoft really mean with a dynamic structure of the universe?
I'm rather optimist with the new map system and how it will be usefull to give simple order (go/attack/protect) to many ships, the stations and ships editors.
I'd also want to see which automation mechanisms will be provided, in order to etablish our commercial empire, like our old CAG and UT.
And off course, WE WANT A RELEASE DATE

I mean... this is fair in one sense. Putting a release date way in advance of release doesn't really help. Besides, a "Release Date" announcement could be as simple as "We're sorry, but it's slipping to 2019." It'd be a bummer, sure, but it'd be nice to know.

3) Game settings: will we be able to customise field of view like we could in X3? Are audio settings separate to be adjusted as we prefer? What graphics settings can be changed (I remember shaders/colour overlays being mentioned, would be interesting to see where this ended up) Can we bind new hotkeys or rebind existing ones? etc.

Keep in mind that it's still a work in progress although it's taking shape nicely.
If anyone is interested in a new save game editor for X4 and would like to contribute to the creation of one let me know. I do not have sufficient time to create it alone, but if there are enough people who want it and want to contribute we might be able to set something up.

Fleet management/capital ship movement and Collision Detection were always my gripes against XR!!!!!

- A playthrough of a small fleet / squadron engagement (as a dogfighter / ship captain, or both, and while commanding other owned ships) would be nice.
- A good 20 minutes of trading (both doing it yourself and remotely) would be nice.
- A good 20 minutes of just traveling from point A to B - through the gates / highways and using cruising speed, using a variety of ship types - would be great too.
I can wait for a release date TBH. Same as Bannerlord. It's ready when it's ready, and I've got plenty else in my backlog that I need to play first. ^^
